  1. half a snooks always a winner (despite being a doubter before I tried and whole squids never failed me.
  2. have recently done tuna belly flaps, AWSOME!!! tommies from yorks, left over leg ham from Chrissy was Wild. and years ag I did a small local caught gummie and bronzie that was to die for.
  3. g mate, too many boats by the sound of it. get out early! before there spooked and keep trolling, most of mine have been blind this year no birds no bait just big hook ups outa nowhere running 1 short diver and two staggered skirts longer. oh yeh the average troll time from my crew has been 5-6 hours continues with no stopping to power to other spots or boats(your most likely driving over fish doing that and spooking them more) weve averaged 2 per trip up too 13-15ish kg this year but mostly 8-10kg(bigger last year)butstill time im thinking, defenetly tinning out from what im seeing though.

  6. cheers man, I reckon he was 50kg plus was really well conditioned, yeh very surprised at his fight on that tackle, being the first he was kept, smoked some today and had fish and chips for dinner, very nice passed a bit around the family as well none wasted. only normally eat small sharks up to 4 ft.and def agree been to quiet round here for too long, we've got a great forum here guy's lets support it!!!
  7. cheers, had an iter 30 running 15kg set up with half a snook on 10 and 8ft of 150lb nylon coated wire 1oold wind on and bimini, was set up from earlier whilst crabbing and had just set up at a new spot.seen him swimming through the slick at the back of the boat and called him for about 3ft! drifeted the bait back and he was straight on it, knew he was a good fish as soon as the hook bit :cheer: . 8 inch flyer and some nice scrates to the side of the boat finished the deal after about a 15 min fight(might of been a bit hard on him with the inter) stoked!
  8. been a long time coming but scored my first hammer yesterday in northen waters, awesome fish at just on 6 ft
  9. 7/0 gamakatsu the best ive found, take ruggers right through to meter plus fish.finer gauge that most for easier hook-ups on lighter line,never had 1 let go yet.
  10. yep and im sure reddies will find there way in fairly quick,but would rather see some native stocking leagly
  11. anyone know if the wetlands are going to be stocked with anything of purpose??? looking like a great water hole at the moment from what I can see with large deep holes,perfect for natives or others.
  12. gooday guys, ok im sure its been done before but here we go.got some great razors today and would like to know how some of the members here deal with theres, now ive pickled them and there nice lice that but I like em crumbed and fried my self but am open to other ideas or would like to hear some variations n pickling recipies???? as there are heaps of variations, would also like to know how you guys prepare your razors, mine are shelled trimed soaked in salt water over night then soaked in rain/filtered water for another 24 hours until they swell right up.keen to here any feed back......

  14. one of the grapplers is mine buy it back if the price is rite :Po yeh awesome footage been hanging to see that joint from that angle, had some wild sessions there and also som realy bad bomb outs funny old spot have evan heard of kgs schooling up there in massive numbers but wont bite for love or money.
  15. limit of rugggers up to 55cm and 3 bigger fish droped all on plastics thismorning down south
  16. sienna or Sedona matched to a cheep as chips k mart/ big w Jarvis walker old school nimble tip (yes the shitty looking three piece green tip jobby) caught me snapper up to 12 lb and leag;e mullys spooled with 6 lb braid. more whiting bream and others than u could count. value!

  18. lol hey ill take doggies for a bit of fun on a slow day,snapper for me.fair bit or figuring out and not bad to eat, make a great pic to.still love me sharks and rays for a challenge though.bluefinwill probly beat the lot if they turn up again local this year
  19. there is a rock ledge next to the old swimming pool you can walk down onto fairly easily that prouduces good whiting and squid regulary this time of year,cematery rocks worth a look 2
  20. ok cool, we cleaned up the whiting in the boat in the shallows(up to 50 cm )heaps of good size squid around, if ya keen there are quite a few good whiting of the jetty just fish light and burly lightly between the two sheds I like.

  22. fair chance in the area that you caught it it would turn into something decent with a bit of persistence mate.
  23. 2 hours on the water this arvo first time out for 6 weeks(6 reds last time)half a doz good whiting a few squid and some big leatheris.not the best but a couple of feeds and not to bad considering a flat batt nearly screwed us.southern metro grounds.
