  6. haha what a night, i think ill never forget this night for the rest of my life! it was funny as, harleys sister thought she was snagged on a crab net, but she had a squid lol!! And that night my mate lost two huge sharks one we lost at the jetty that would have pushed 10 foot!
  7. Been fishing for them with lures for about three years now! But i only live a cople of mins from the lake so i can fish there most nights!
  8. i recon squidgy's definitly make the best lure's for mullys, anything with a paddle tail will work! Best colours are silver fox, black and golds, drop bear and true blue!Heres a 92cm mully from the lake that took a 100mm slick rig in black and gold!!and a little school mully that took a liking to a 65mm slick rig! http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/557HJoqf__luke_mully.jpg[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/QDWPvKIx__second_mully_in_the_yak_2.jpg[/img]
  9. i think we will leave the fidlers to you benny! lol
  10. yeah that pics very deceiving, if you look close ya can see the fish is real fat around the tail, and cos the tails bent back makes it look smaller!great local snap adam, good effort on 10lb too!
  11. i actually pulled a salmon about 35cm out of a school of slimys last time i was out on the reef jigging chromes for them??? And id have to agree with ya kayakfisher, i recon a slimy of the same size pulls a bit harder!
  12. i reckon the best way, well it many not be the best but its definitly the most fun way is to jig little chrome lures for them on bream gear! The faster you move the chrome lure the better! and when ya hook a 1.5kg slimy on 4lb line you no all about it, they take some screaming runs for such a tiny fish!
  13. 65mm, 70mm, 80mm and even 100mm squidy fish for those monster flatys! Ive heard theres plenty on wedge island. Try the silver fox and black and gold colours!! I want to see pics of mega flatys on lures when you get back!!
  14. hay mickyj do you ever add scent to your fly's? If you dont i recon you should get some of that squidy scent and put some on your flys, i recon you would get alot more takes and less miss strikes? Just and idea.. lol
  15. congrats samboman, is this a new mully reel?
  16. The lucanus jigs are awsome for snapper! Have a look in the fishing footage at some of Big ash's vids using them, he pulls some ripper snaps on them!!!
  17. sice the waters all been flushed out they should give the torrens a good clean up and stock it with some natives! how awsome would that be!!
  18. Holy moly thats a mega cod brenton, and let me get this right, you found him swimming on the suface so you graped him and wrestled him in the boat!!!! if that is what happend that is bloody awsome! lol
  19. Chickens, dont you only get pesky sharks on them! lol
  20. jeez that rod could take some punishment! He was putting some serious pressure on that ray! lol reminds me of the beach at arno bay, i recon brooksey and i jaged about three of them off the beach on bream gear... lol We got destroyed!!! hehehe
  21. LOL! I think a few cod fisherman have noticed that cod don't mind a feed on ducks once in a while!
  22. Got to love the plastics for snapper! Possibly the funniest fishing ever when you get onto a good school, light gear, screaming reels, nothing better! If you havn't given plastics a go, give them a shot!!!
