My old man's been giving me some tips on cooking steak (he's a chef at very renowned restaurant ) season with salt pepper, oil steak not pan or grill, don't cook straight from the fridge, turn steak when beads moisture on top, turn once only. Let rest off the heat before serving. Should judge wether its cooked or not by pressing rather than timing. Talking to mates that are chefs they reckon med rare is best and I agree

aldingabeachfisho replied to Breamo's topic in Bait & Tackle
gday mate I run a Penn Spinfisher big game surf rod, it is insainly good really light but has so much power in it. you can get them for around 130. but not sure how it would mauch your reel.best bet is to take your reel to your tackle shop put it on a few rods and see how it feels. -

For the past couple of years I've only used iqf grade pillies which are fit for human consumption they are individually frozen seem so much fresher than blocks and stay on hook better and bein individually frozen u don't need to have to pull em off the frozen block and break them etc

Did go through tackle shop with warranty or Daiwa diret? I had a prob with a new sol and it was replaced within a week through my tackle shop. I have been told the Daiwa rep is very good and its no skin off his a$$ to replace a defect product I could see a grey area with handle issues but the drag problem is not good enough at all

Might sus out the local seafood shop see what they can do
-
yeah no worries might have to sus them out. worth the trip if I can save some dollars on fish food (not bait lately)

Hey All,lookin to start gettin bait in bulk to save a few $$$. anyone know where I can get IQF pillies bulk cheersABF

i think it is proposed that it be closed from the ramp to 6km towards the mouth.

Beach worms work well they will catch both mulett and whiting and they stay on well you can get live worms from some of the local tackle shops. You don't need to cast very far just look for the deeper sections of the beach. Near the steps between button rd and sellicks ramp is usually a nice gutter. Good luck mate
