    my daiwa windcast drag tightens very quickly like from no drag to full lock in about half a turn and it is designed to do that to make easier in surf or something. so could it be possible that yours has a similar set up? have your tried just turning the drag Knob slightly? hope you get what i mean hard to sorta explain.

    anywhere ive been snapper fishing lately keep gettin those big bloody black ones and losen all my rigs.

    who cares mate get out there the only way to learn and how I have learnt to catch snapper regularly is through trial and error you can get all the info in the world but practice makes perfect so get out and have a crack.

    is that in cicle hooks brett? I use 4/0 and 5/0 octapus and 5/0 and 6/0 if using circles. my opinion no bigger than a 5/0 for inshore (octapus)miss to many hook ups with bigger hooks. just my opnion also;) :whistle:

    i run twin 4/0 (inshore) 5/0 (deep) Gamakatsu octapus snelled to 40lb jinkai, running sinker(easy rig) those very small but 45lb rated barrel swivel and as light sinker as possible for the conditions. I only run 15lb braid on my snapper reel a which is a 3000 sol. lets just say on the down low (lol) I have boated over 30 this year already. oh and a lumino bead for good measure.

    Hey all been informed via facebook that adam who has saltcreek servo had his rods flogged australia day copy and paste his post from fb$500 cash to anyone who can help me get my hands on the pricks who ganked my rods, reckon it was Australia Day-Wed night as was the only night we shut and werent here, reckon they went around the back lookin for us!any one know who was fishin salt creek on aussie day!any info let me know

    I use a scaler bag with a led weight which i made using a small baked bean can. as well as the berley block on the bottom i also cube pillies and throw out as we fish. i found that veneation blind cord works best for dropping down the scaler bag as it dosent get to caught in the current as much as rope etc

    im a fan of any of the team daiwa light spin rods sol, luvias etc. Im currently runnig a team daiwa sol 6-10lb and a team daiwa d-redback 10-17lb. one for inshore one for out deep.just got a sol for a very good price PM me if u want details as to where they had differnt TD rods on special.
