  1. Glad you asked If there is enough current to drown my livey' date=' then I don't reckon you need a live bait as a normal deadbait will present nice and natural in a decent current [/quote'] Still would use a livey over a dead bait no matter what the current. Only use dead baits when i can't manage to get any livies. :woohoo:
  2. This is the way to go, since i changed to circles my hookups have been far greater and a lot more success on landing them. :woohoo: I also only use the one hook through the top lip/nose. Hope this helps you.

  12. Does the rod have a code on it by any chance, as the guides look to be more like it is a bait caster. Judging from what i can make out from the pics.

  17. Good move!Just replaced a complete set of rings on an old but loved whiting rod for the princely sum of $7.50 Bare in mind you only get what you pay for. Cheap yes, but how long will they last ?.
  18. theres no size or bag limits fella.. and ive seen mullies smash pretty big trumpeters toot toot nothing wrong with the trumpeter, not sure on west lakes though. Never had a hookup there (yet) but can vouch that they work well in the port till you get something better. As you all would know different techniques for different areas.
