  1. Thanks for that Ranger very good bit of info there, the pic makes it a lot better to understand the technique.
  2. Have been using a FT67 rod made by Yatesy from SFS some 20 odd years ago now and a Penn 360 slammer and that seems to be a good light sort of combo with 20lb braid at the moment in the Port area. :woohoo:
  3. Much appreciate the heads up on that mate, well done. :woohoo:
  4. That sounds like the demo one that is for sale on gumtree, slightly different to mine as that one is the 520CR with the soft top. $42,000.
  5. Well done mate,at least something is better than donuts and enjoyed the day out. :woohoo:
  6. The security pin with the lock and a stainless steel padlock for the chains have been in use with my set up since day one. It's the only way to go any thing to deter the clowns. :woohoo:
  7. Can always be used as a squid stick.
  8. Not good when you hear these sort of antics happening,at least you came through with minimal damage. I have heard of this type of senseless behaviour which brings to light that no matter where i launch i am in the habit of checking the whole trailer over before i head home. I also check the coupling hitch ,chains and the winch before i put the boat back on the trailer.Too many idiots out there that have no regard for others and can cause life threatening circumstances.
  9. Had that problem yesterday up in the Adelaide hills. :woohoo:
  10. I would still be smiling also after catching those too. I would feel intimidated standing next to those. Well done much respect to you my friend. :woohoo:Awsome totally awsome. And yes we like them.
  11. Was down at the bridge last week and just on the right as you get to it in the shallows by the mangroves there were a couple of guys just hauling them in.Were using plenty of berley to keep them there though.
  12. Thought you might have picked some up in that huge fishing tackle store in California when you were there recently.
  13. With a little mayo salad.
  14. Gamakatsu Otopus Circles for me, only got onto these from the input of members on this site. I can tell you that these are wicked for my Mully sessions as i do not get as snagged as much as i did with the J hooks, they also hook the mullies better in the corner of the mouth and are far easier and quicker to remove and do get far more hook ups as i did lose quite a few with the J's. I will never go back to J hooks again when chasing Mullies. Also caught my first metro snapper on these at 66cm i was stocked. :woohoo:
  15. must be one of the kids that was dropped off at the Pool.
  16. You gotta have some sort of theory behind you to ask around $700 for a sqiudding rod.  :woohoo:
  17. Canoeman knot or otherwise known as the mickey mouse ears knot, ties in seconds.
  18. Tasty little morsels to munch on in between bites.
