Headed down to the Onk late this arvo in the kayak. Water level was incredibly high, so much so that I couldn't fit under the saltfleet road bridge at the first entrance!! I took me for a tow and fought very hard but I netted the beast, measured him and then watched it swim away freely to fight another day.

Locations like the Bluff, Granite Island causeway, Inman River, Hindmarsh River are available in Victor to fish. Tommies found at the bluff and GI if you berley up, squid are at the bluff on clear days, bream are in both the rivers too.

Fished my local freshwater spot yesterday afternoon and finally caught my first Redfin. Too bad he was only a little fella but at least I'm now on the board. Caught him on a squidgy critter in wasabi colour right near my feet.

Yes the end of the Wallaroo Jetty is closed at this time.There have been Snapper caught from the area near the gates since the closure of the end.

River Monsters did a show on the spread of Snakeheads in the US, i hope they dont make their way over here. It also did one on the Pacu and its impact on Papua New Guinean waterways where it was introduced, it ate all the weed which is where crocodiles breed which subsiquently affected the number of baby crocodiles. it annoys me that this is even a problem, what sort of idiot would still think introducing species to different places is a good idea...kane toads, carp, redfin, camels to name but a few that have become problems in this country. the fact that alot of the fish in this article are fresh water means that they would have to be brought here, that is the worst part of the whole situation

Was out fishing with Banger sat an i knew of a pool of water that had a decent trout in it an i wanted to get some footage of it striking my lure . Managed to get the trout to have a go at my lure but it was out of shot (Big trout to), Spew . The shots you see are the fish being spooked as we collect the cameras after the cameras were in the water close to an hour .
