  1. What your saying makes sense sbarnden except most of my yfw on surface lures are on the belly treble and in their mouth
  2. Go get some of the new sunline super pe8. Its what I put on my new combo and so far its awesome
  3. I've got a spool of 10pound I use on one of my snapper combos Yes it does feel thicker and a bit stiffer than some other brands I've used but so far knot strength has been good. Havnt changed the original 12 pound leader I tied on when I spooked it on and it has caught quite a few snapper so far
  4. Lol, was busy when I wrote it and didn't go double check on the rod. Thanks for correcting me
  5. Not two piece but do your self a favour and check out Azuza 1-3kg 6 foot one piece. Owner of the company was one of Daiwa's designers for years. It so light but very strong and casts a mile. I'm loving mine. Puts my old 2 piece T Curve to shame
  6. Great post mate and gee those cockles look very familiar
  7. Nice, a mate of mine swears by them. I'm still to try them let us know how they go
  8. Yep double clutches are sweet, I've got so many hb lures its not funny but you can never have enough I say. I redid my lure trays the other night and had them all out on the table, the wife walked past and made a comment about how many there are and how much $ worth? I had to laugh because i know she doesn't really want to know think she would fall over
  9. I used to do this too, but to be honest I have been lazy with and probably should take the time to do it. Thanks for the reminder
  10. I normally run 4 pound stren microfuse braid but got talked on to trying the new Sunline super PE8. They only had 6 pound but it feels thinner than what I normally use and so far has been great. I have quite a few SX40s they are a great bream lure. This I precisely why I wanted 6' I have always used 7' but wanted something a bit shorter for the tight creeks I agree mate, this one is just a replacement to one that was lost to a snag last year. I love the sebile crankas, bcf had them going at just under $13, fantastic value at that. I will try my best mate. I have a spot that
  11. Its been awhile since I started a post so he goes, Lately ive had a bad run on chasing KGW. The waters ive been fishing have just felt devoid of life. Due to this my last three trips Ive cracked the shits and headed straight back into the creeks and creeks mouths to chase trouties. This has been great fun throwing poppers and hard bodies at them and my 3 year old has had a ball doing this. While doing this my mind has kept wondering to thoughts of chasing one of my favourites the black bream. Ive been doing quite well over the last two years catching these awesome fish on plastics but ive dec
  12. Very true mate but I think most people who would turn up would have waders already
  13. Next strike hook fishin day : Northern flats
  14. Great report and fantastic conditions to watch the dolphins. I find when it is that calm out there fishing can be tough. Wont be long and the yfw will be on the flats waiting for my surface lures
  15. I will be getting some more once the breambos fire up a bit, only problem is I think where I'm planning on throwing them it could get expensive.
  16. Had about 3/4 of my drag tightened and I was empty within about 30 secs. I've caught schoolies around mid 70cm on the same combo, this fish was a different league. Was a fu. 30 secs though
  17. I have only used them once as I was given one to test and all I know is second cast I had a bump, third cast zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz head shakes more zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz watching line disappear then me swearing my head of as I had an empty spool on my 1000 stradic. My guess where I was fishing, the big head shake and tail thumps i donated that cranka crab to a very good mully.
  18. I've been persisting with a pack but they are not impressing me. No real action. I havnt had a hit on them yet. I've changes from them to other sps and hooked up straight away. I probably wont buy another pack
  19. Great work mate. There was a huge school of monsters at the ramp while I was launching Friday. They were not shy either
  20. Only had an hour and half today had a quick look around fir some salmon between st Kilda and black pole found a school but very touchy in the crystal clear water then when finally hooked up the school got smashed by a pod of dolphins. Ended up just sitting back and watching them. My 3 year old absolutely loved them
  21. Think myself and my 3 year old will chase some tings around semmy tomorrow.
  22. I got a heap of jig heads at the last SABT i fished. Made by one of organisers and ive just run out they were some of the best Ive had. If i could remember his name I try to get some more
  23.
