  1. I just think for those that are so concerned about fish being released ect should be just as concerned about putting hooks in them in the first place. There's always gonna be those that do the wrong thing in any recreation.Reckon longliners and swingnetters ect are more of a worry than jetty rats.I'm not in this category at all but have been irresponsible in my teenage yrs fishing jett.Teens are more responsible these days compared to 20yrs ago but things have changed since them days.
  2. Young guys especially teens mate who are interested in heavy tackle fishing often start by targeting eagle rays and sharks. They don't have a car licence and there fishing options are very minimal.Shark is good eatingcand eagle rays are a superb fighting species. As they get older and get a licence lots of these young guys become quiet capable fishermen in there own right.Kingfish and mulloway taste ordinary to me but I still like to catch them.Kids start somewhere and the local sharks and rays are a good start if looking to get a rod bent.If ya not being critical don't ask a silly question

Awesome Hammer. They go hard on the right tackle and they run amok at boat side and can be a handful if not tired out.Killer fish and a cracker size aswell.Did u get weight?.Did u release or you going to eat.I release the ones I get but apparently a tasty fish.About time a good thread was put up.Cheers
  8. Some nice rods there saltiga 5.Better than the rubbish they sell these days.
  9. Nice rod but it's to long.Made that mistake before.6ft is the longest I would go fishing 24.I had a shark on a 7ft seeker basically same rod and couldn't function probably for the best of 2 weeks.and that was fishing 15kg.Your all a bunch of GOOGANS and a Gongshow full of negs is coming to you all..
  10. Why would u say that Softy??.I'm sure all mulloway fisherman particularly all the lure fisherman down the Murray mouth who are still using the same rods from 20yrs ago still catching big Jews on them...Don't tell me ur a sensor surf man lol...very uneducated bad call Softy in my opinion..
  11. Sabre is legendary in the gamefishing scene . Sabre shut up shop sometime ago and the guy who has the recepie for the blends went to business and called them selves seeker or sabre seeker.Sabre changed gamefishing with there legendery sabre strokers and were the and my opinion still are the bees knees in fishing rods. Sabre particularly here in Sa aren't sold on the shelves these days as people don't buy custome quality rods anymore with the factory rods these days are pretty good value for money.U can still buy blanks and get them custom built if you are prepared to built a quality original r

  16. I have caught a lot of mulloway and think low tide is the best where I fish for them.I was ment to say ask your local about which minnows are worth trying..crystal minnows ect
  17. Look for other fishos that's where they are.Use pilly flick baits with a jighead to suit the tide or minnows.Ask a tacklestore or research on forums. Rule of thumb for most fish is 1hrs either side of the tide. And persistence.Good luck young fella
