the next away trip will be elliston in june for the salmon comp (cant wait for the stairway to hell) at locswell in between river -yabbies-- yabbies oh yea and yabbies haha got some work to do up the out laws shack so im thinking may as well make the most of it

its tuna time again and after hearing there are sheet loads of smaller models around at the moment i am wondering what you guys prefer in the light range of lures..as well as my normal tuna stuff im taking my 3-6kilo shimano fire blood rod with a 2500 fire blood reel 30lbs saltiga surf braid hehe just to see what it can do and just hope only a small one grabs it prob just get spooled but worth a crack

personally there is 2 main reasons i go out on charters..1-- on my boat i am always the skipper and this means no drinking ( my boat has a 0000 alchy policy in place for skippers) this means me so by jumping on a charter means i can have a few bevies and fish.. 2-- certain places it works out more efficiant for me to just drive and hire,for example the anual pilgramige to portland chasing tuna or wedge island would not be cost effective for me to tow my big lug of a boat to then run it all day trolling.especially as i dont know the place well and would prob come back empty handed as for ta

ive got two a shimano t curve 3-5 kilo 1.83m 3 piece it comes with a hard case and breaks down t0 just over 600mm long ( i love this rod)and also the team daiwa 2-4 kilo rod it breaks in 3 also and is just over 700mm broken down the diawa the shiamno has travelled every where with me as the hard case protects it well and has landed everything from whiting to snapper and quite a few in between i have it matched to a fire blood 2500the daiwa is my favourite carp rod its nice and light but handles the bigger modelks with ease i have it matched to a sol 2000 both are great rods and both come in at

my storeys a little diff i came in to st kilda one arvo very low tide and sat for about 5 mins watching a fella trying to retrieve a 20ft boat with a hilux 2wd ute tray top and to make matters worse as we all know at low tide to get a boat on to ya trailer ya need to drop of the ramps edge..needless to say he was going no where in a hurry..i offered to unhook my boat trailer hook his on pull him out then retrieve my boat witch he very gratefully excepted,once both our boats where out the bloke insisted i follow him to the stkilda tavern so he could buy us a beer,witch i gratefully excepted and
