Ale 301
My lil girl has her first Pink fishing rod and she has been waving it around asking when she can use it. Anybody got any hot tips or where I might be able to take her and rustle up some ST's land based safely this arvo? Was thinking the port or West lakes somewhere? Ugly4Life 41
West Lakes down at the Trimmer Parade end should be okay. If you're happy taking her on a jetty there is the one down at Garden Island that has been producing a few STs. It's fairly high off the water though. Ale
Softy 2,991
Near the grain silos on Moonta Rd.. there is a old concrete ramp there to stand on, also some old wooden steps that make a flat platform to stand on. Double Trouble

Dan C 1
Hi,The two safest spots I know are:Dotteral Drive West Lakes. Beach and a rocky outcrop at one end. Always heaps of little Bream.Corcoran Drive West Lakes. Near the footbridge. Again there is beach and rocks and Bream. When my oldest son started getting into it we started here as there is no way of falling in. Jetties scare the crap out of me with little kids!Today I took both boys to the souther corner of West Lakes. My youngest son (2), wound in 2 Bream and has the bug too now!Dan C trihull and Ale

mrfish 327
I take my 2 and 4 year olds out to west lakes a fair bit. Usually bower road end. the rocks arent too hard for them to navigate but if they are feeling a bit clumsy we just walk over to the left and fish off the beach near the the ramp
