ShoreJigger 171
From what I can gather, he had some angry emails from shimano sponsored anglers / shimano after his not too favorable review of the Stella SWB.It looks like he got the s@$ts and just removed both Stellas from the list.Either that or Daiwa's in his pockets eg. His raving review of the Catalina. But who knows? ausea
storm boy 17
It's still there, just not on the "recommended" or "not recommended" list.http://www.alanhawk.com/reviews/reviews.htmlCheers!SB

A reel can't just go backwards?

ausea 4
Couple tackle stores selling the tufftackle diablo as the Assassin and Black Marlin selling for $295.If you bid on ebay the Pelagic Hypafin (Assassin - Black Marlin) reels usually win it for around $

A reel can't just go backwards?[/quote'] quote :Only reels in current production appear on the tables. Of course a reels can go "backwards"!! by better ones being released which put it in front of the existing or not being able to be bought new!His lists are live, but the 08 Stella is not available new anymore, thus pushed out of the top 5 by default!!After all he is only one reviewer amongst many, but what gives him so much clout is the fact he is un-paid and independent. He buys all the reels himself, has the engineering background to pull them apart and examine them properly, no one else does this.He keeps a pretty low key profile and he is a braver man than most to pay for these things, then pull em to bits!!!For a giggle look thru his review of the China OEM reels. He has had multiple threats from the "re sellers" over the years. No chance he is on the Diawa bank roll, have a look at his lists, not just "offshore spinning"and you will see all the other brands feature extensively. If we want to get picky, it would have to be Shimano that try and influence us the most. They throw gear at any gimp that has time to shine on TV.ET special this, Ian Miller that and now Paul Worsling T curves Be interesting to hear anything technical come out of their mouths other than get your plastics from BCF and Instinct leader from your closest TW store ShoreJigger, 4THALOVE, trihull and 2 others

The owner of a local tackle store, who shall not be named, but it's around the corner from SFS "totally designed" that reel himself and somehow his "best friend" is able to sell the same reel a hundred dollars cheaper. (swear it wasn't there last time I checked)And saying he has been paid by Daiwa was just me stirring the pot a little :whistle:He is the man though, I've emailed him a couple of times and he always gets back to you.
