Shark_Fisho 1
Tie a bimini then do a loop to loop connection
Ben m 0
Hey mate, When im chasin the bigger stuff using heavier braid i always tie a double in the braid with a bimini no matter what, dont trust fishinn for bigger stuff without a bimini(i worry too much about knots slipping with a single strand), Then just cat paw the wind on, the cat paw is very easy to tie, youll be able to find a video or diagram online to show ya. TJ Bear 0
Bimini twist with a minimum of 30 turns in the braid then cats paw the mono. Learning to tie a good bimini is estential if you intend to do serious heavy tackle sports fishing either jigging, casting poppers or trolling you just cant beat a bimini for forming a double. 1ONMEPILLIE 0
Yep definately a Bimini Twist but in saying that i have rarely seen a good spider hitch fail.. A few guys on the charter of late that me and Coight were on had tied spider hitch's and smashed tuna after tuna, Even boated a 35kg Sampson on the same knot.

brenton 637
I've only ever done a cats paw to the swivel, does it work well as a leader to braid knot as well eh???
Saltiga5 3
Albright know, a 124kg tuna was boated with the same one!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k58ARA7K8_4&feature=relatedI tested it on a massive eagle ray from the beack with 50lb braid and 60lb black magic supple trace. It casts really well in the surf. __matt__ 0
^^Thats the main knot I use from bream to mullies. Never had one fail on a fish as of yet.
weaver 271
the albright has held op to +90lb cod too, but with a wind on i would do the bimini then the cats paw as there will be no cutting of the line as its loop de loop
thefunkychicken 0
Bimini twist in the braid, then a double uni to my leader.I was a big fan of the Albright but didn't really like the way it ran through my guides during big beach casts.Cheers.
