  2. I thought I'd start a thread on berley as an easy to find go to thread for those who want to know where to start. What ingredients do you all use for certain species? e.g. Blue swimmer crab shells for snapper, squid and cockle shells for whiting, aniseed, bread curry, what ever it is. 8. Caught a strongie off of Porties Jetty a while back now, would have been summer. I would have been using squid or tommy as bait I reckon, possibly pillie. Was awesome fun, definitely worth targeting for the rush of the fight.

Monday, 30 June 2014 Commercial and recreational blue swimmer crab fishing arrangements have been reviewed and updated for the upcoming 2014–15 season to ensure the sustainability of the fishery. The 2012-13 Blue Crab Fishery stock assessment report recently published by the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) Aquatic Sciences, shows that while the Spencer Gulf fishery remains in a strong position the Gulf St Vincent fishery remains at a low level. Based on the latest available evidence, and using the national framework for stock status reporting, the Spen

  18. I've been using Daiwa Tournament Hyper PE on my 2000 Freams for flicking lures at bream and mulloway. I have 10lb which is overkill for what I've been using it for but the 10lb is almost equivalent to 4lb Fireline. It's super smooth braid that lays nicely and casts a mile. I highly recommend it.

I'll be staying local but will definitely have to have a crack at the salmon off Southport beach and if I'm lucky and a certain father-in-law doesn't take up a decky position I'll possibly be chasing whiting and squid from a mates tub depending on Monday's weather.

An epic battle off of the Port Noarlunga Jetty and finally landing what has been said to be a pretty decent strongy. My first Onkaparinga River Mully.
