There's variations of the 270, there are the honeyblends, all graphite and eg versions. There are also the thick and thin mandrel versions, thick mandrels being the better original version.

Ur on the ball' date=' but wanna be about 1m off the bottom [/quote']Yep, i use the sounder as a guide and try to have my livie 1-2m off the bottom depending on conditions, current etc...I use a Gamakatsu live bait hook, 4ft 80-100lb Jinkai to swivel the ball sinker. 30-50lb braid and approx. 20ft 40-80lb wind on depending on what structure i'm fishing around. And reel in strike with about 1-2lb of drag while rod is in a rod holder sitting parelel to the water, usualy a live bait out on both sides of the boat.

I can usualy tell the difference between a Snapper and a Mully.I find the Snapper head shakes have a distinct hard knock you can feel through the rod and mullies have more a smoother tug. In the surf the mullies don't shake their heads but the wack their heads against the bottom trying to disslodge the hooks.

Hey, thinking of installing a portable one on back left.Would plumbing the overlow into the outlet hose of the underfloor bielge work ok? or would the outlet on the live bait tank need to be higher than the outlet in the skin?
-
So those skin fittings up the top are not in use by anything? I can see where the hose connected to them leads to because the side panels on the boat.

Hey,I'm looking at ideas for setting up a live bait tank in my Quintrex which will keep squid, gar and salmon trout alive. It need to bring in water via a bilge pump and then drain when it reaches a certain level out if the boat.I have these outlets on the tinny and just wondering what the ones on the top are for? Are they for plumbing a factory live bait tank in or are they for something else? Am i amble to attach a t-piece to the hose going to them so i can use it as the water outlet for the live bait tank? or can i attach a t-piece to the boats bielge pump which pumps water out the bottom of my boat? Thanks
