  2. So I picked up a Wilson Supergraph Big Water Bream Rod for an absolute bargain of a price. The only Downside is the Butt end is very short and isn't comfortable to put under the arm. So i will be having a crack and constructing my own Extended Rod butt section. I took the rubber fighting cap off and used a set of verniers to measure the inside diameter of the blank. I then found an old broken rod blank that would slip into the blank and be tight enough to bond the two blanks together with resin. I cut the old blank to go up the blank only to below the Reel seat so it doesn't

  4. If you ring up a couple tackle stores you might be able to find a daiwa Gen Black series 1 in the 3 piece travel rod. The series one is clearing out making way for the series two rods. Much better quality in my opinion. What rating and length you after? Ill see what i can do for you at work tomorrow.
  5. I asked about them awhile back before you worked there, they said they'd gotten them when they first came out but hadn't sold well and weren't going to be restocked. Must have been one lost in the back room, you should make use of it. When I first started there and looked around at what my office will be that bag caught my eye. Have been eyeing it off ever since!

  14. Daiwa Gen Black Travel Rods you are looking around the $180 mark. Uglystick do an travel rod to. yes it will be fibreglass but they are super strong and tough. You have Shakespeare slingshot travel rods aswell. I only noted a couple off the top of my head and not sure if they do the model you are after. But it gives you an idea of whats around the place. If i think of anymore while i am at work ill put them up here.

  17. So This is my new setup for my Rod Building System. The Ally Base is perfect as the stations are on rollers so i can just slide the station from side to side. The rod I am building is an Wilson MT 6110 This will be my Salmon lure Flicking Rod. THe rod Is going to have a black and Silver theme.... Keep an eye on this thread for updates as i do it all!

  19. Check out sealion braid on ebay.... I had a feel and seen this in action over the weekend and i was rather impressed. I get to play around and suss out braids with my job and it matches up with some of the known braids out there. Yes it doesn't have the casting coating but its super thin and it holds and ties knots well while casting a treat.
  20. Is it as nice as one of my custom hook keepers? I still got it on there mate! So it's a winner in my books
  21. Abu salty fighter rods are awesome value for money. $70 whole range of sizes as well. Check them out for sure. They even come with a hook keeper!
