  1. Not a good story to read & going through an ordeal like that. Firstly try Trihull's idea, if it doesn't work then. I would suggest your girlfriend to take the boat to a marine shop that specializes in the brand of outboard she has. Have it repaired to her satisfaction with a report done on previous repairs that was carried out. Then send a bill or claim back to the Alberton repairer. If this doen't work then Put all the documents together & you may need legal assistance to write up a affidavit as a witness, then serve them with a summons to appear in the Minor Claims Court
  2. Hi Stuart While on awards, who won the fishing rod design competition ? Haven't seen any results as I may have missed it. Thanks Reg
  3. Nicely put together, been a long time for me launching at Wirrina.
  4. Made these rigs up for the next local Tuna season, just waiting for the warm currents to come through.
  5. I use Suffix 832 for it's smoothness coming of reels & lays better on overhead reels. Normally use a FG knot to fluorocarbon leaders or the polmar knot direct to terminal tackle.
  6. Use to pick up some monster snook on the way back to the ramp, north of the brothers.
  7. Nice, what was the ramp like there as I've only launched at Coffins
  8. Great guys to deal with & Andrew Hestelow the Managing Director doesn't much around when it comes to dealing with the pollies over on the east coast in his write ups.

  16. Looks good & looks like good fun So this stealth coloured kayak, is it to hide from other kayakers? & by the way, is there a spare seat for poops, he's itching to get out again.
  17. I have been out there a few times blowing up to 15 knts & wasn't too bad as the swell knocks the short waves around, but once it starts getting around 20 knts & coming from the southerly directions, things start getting a little uncomfortable & slow. It's great that you asked tenoayell, Monday doesn't look to bad as I look for NE to north breezes with seas around a metre, but my crew can't make it until later in the week.
  18. Were are you getting your weather forecasting from, Bom Site prediction, SundayWindsSouth to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots easing to 10 to 15 knots early in the morning before turning south to southeasterly in the afternoon, becoming variable around 10 knots in the evening.Seas1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the morning.SwellSouthwesterly 2 to 2.5 metres.Aso have a lookhttp://www.bom.gov.au/jsp/watl/wind/index.jspMost reports are coming from Sanders, so you'l need plenty of fuel on board.I.m leaving my next trip for a better day
  19. Could be right there Hopeless Breamer, In my book Sea Fishes of Southern Australia says the base colour of the Yellow Creasted Weedfish varies from brown to yellish orange & the southern Creasted ranged from green to purplish brown, sometimes with darker marblings, also irregular silver edge blotch often beneath thepectoral fin.

  21. I usually look for those days with northerly breezes around 10 knots, or days with up to a mtr seas & the swell doesn't matter too much, they just roll pass at about 22 knts.A mate caught tuna on the mid day tide change a couple of weeks ago
  22. There's a few guys like Fishie on this site that I listen to, they been there & done it.2 years ago I was fortunate to go to an evening with the SA Game Fishing Club on tuna & it took 2 years to put it into practice .One of the main subjects was about watching those Petrels flying in a particular direction & follow them, which is what we did to catch our first tuna. I heard the same about Tuna near the Bluff & on wards, so we did the same for a half hour, no action then took of looking for the birds first, which we ended up east of the pages, then we did a further 40 ks followi
