I actually have a 6'6 15kg Pelagic rod and have hauled some big things in with it, maybe i have been lucky so far... :lol:Also, a couple of years ago When Del and I got back into fishing Del brought some of that PELAGIC EXTREME SPECTRA braid 1200m of 8lb for stuff all, we spooled up many reels, and to this day it is still the best braid i have used, never got wind knots, awesome knot strength, when i find some again, i will be stripping the suffix off my SOL and re-spooling it again with that, just hope the quality is still as good. :dry: *puts flame suit on* :pinch:

I am just lazy and cant be bothered cleaning the fish Squid i catch goes into the bait draw in my freezer, Tho next time i clean up on the tommies, the smoker will get fired up.I have a pretty killer fish n chip shop down the road, so if i feel like fish i go there....

I use decoy clips for all my lure fishing in "00" After about 30-40 lure changes, my fingers are stuffed so i use my pliers to change them. After about 60 changes the clip is bent and mangled so i tie a new one on. People tell me the clips will stop the lure swimming properly,but i can see how, there is no restriction on the lure, and it is free to move around....

I have camped and fished most towns along the Goulburn, Actually spent a week camping along side the Jamieson river in one of the high county shacks that are located all thru that part of the world. Our caravan at Eildon was right on the edge of the pondage, 15 meter walk from the annex to the water.... How i miss it....

Can't help with the flys, but good luck on the trout, spent most of my weekends as a kid fishing lake Eildon. Also on your way to Eildon stop in at king parrot creek. There are some monster trout in there.

Wonder how many people will go and target it now..... lol

3" pumpkinseed gulp, or 3" powerbait in watermelomn or green.done well on sx40's and 5-7g metals, but sp's are the way to go.
