  1. Ive had one matched with my tcurve inshore (3000 model though), love it , one of my favourite outfits now, really rate it value for money, nice and smooth , drag has been tested on a couple ruggers last month and went a treat .Looks like straight out of the Daiwa factory Blighty
  2. cheers poppa snake , some nice pt vic photos to come . Blighty
  3. Awsome !!!!!! thats all I can Say , great team work Blighty
  4. Welcolm riot, there alot of people that are better than me to comment. I have alot of success in this estary but alot of other people can give you a more defined answer. Please remember that it is closed bream season upstream from the south road bridge. bait works well , prawns or white bait unwaited if you can but soft plastics and hard bodies has worked for me over the years. you just need to walk and find structure and holes and you will be ok. Dont know if the spinners are affective in this system but I will stand corrected , good luck mate and be aware of the billy blakes ( snakes )Bligh
  5. Thats cool U4L , I think we agreed on majority of points to this topic. The only thing is during summer hot nights with still some light at 8 pm there are still some nippers in the water training at these times let alone the average Joe Blo Public, so the only thing I disagree with you is I think the 9 pm time is fair and equitable for all parties IMO only mate Cheers Mate Blighty
  6. Agree with nearly everything you said U4L , Any law imposed to reduce a risk in anything I will normally agree to. This one is close to my heartthough and my opinion only Do remember Dogs are required to be on a leash at certain times and places to reduce risk to the community ( council by law though ) Blighty
  7. The law doesnt provide compensation for ignorance... our stupidity, I can assure you though, this guy will hopefully learn his lesson and keep sharking now within the laws along with all other sharko's Blighty
  8. MMMMM Documented by a memeber of somerton surf lifesaving club so must have been close to there, documented caught before 9 pm , obviously using wire trace, YEP he broke te LAW !!! no time for these people, Before anyone responds, I too used to chase sharks and dont condone this form of fishing. I am also an active member of a close by surf life saving club and my daughter is in the water all year round traing and competing in the nippers. This really concerns me this incedent. Our lifesavers protect us on the local beaches and need the younger nippers to be confident in the water so they can
  9. I have had one for a couple of months and they are Killers Metro. They are only good in deeper water as they sink real Fast (3.5gr on memory cant find any lighter anywhere) Probably the most consistent Jag I have in the Kit at the moment, Mines white yellow and pink Blighty
  10. Nice one Chief Ha!!!!! Here we go AGain !!!!!!!!!Cheers Blighty
  11. caught a snook last year trolling and as I got it to the boat, it was being engulfed by a massive squid... landed both HA
  12. Yep excellent topicI agree with Brenton and Dame, Some spots do fire on dodge, was discussing with dad and his neighbor the other day and it seems the only spots that have fired for us on a dodge are all in exceess of 60 feet of water Blighty
  13. Thanks SamboI did notice the Strike Pros today when I snuck out of work to visit a close atckle shop to give me a tackle fix for the day. Problem is .... as all lures .... there so many to choose and I cant afford to buy them all , so thanks for your advice I might start with the strike pros and see how I go Blighty
  14. thanks matehave looked online at the cranka vibes and they atleast look cool ( to me a novice that is ) Blighty
  15. Thanks Bream ReaperI would assume that changing the tow point positions change depth or action or both blighty
  16. Hi allall the talk at the moment is the success people are having with Vibes. All my lure fishing is with SP's and the odd HB. Wish to have a crack at throwing some of these and need some general advice.Firstly all my lure fishing is at the Onk and Pat, so my general questions are ?1/ general Vibe recomendations ?2/ Technique as apposed to what i am used to with SP's3/ @ what depth do they best work 4/ and other other factors that may be of some helpAny help appreciated Regards Blighty

  19. Gday PiranhaI have both t curve 661 2-5kg and Jewel JWL682 spin 2-5kg I actually prefer the Jewel - also alot cheaper - around the $160.00 mark - but check it out- great rodJust my 2 bobsBlighty
  20. Del , as a confessed oyster addict, i can say they would be no good to eat, but because i eat so many i use them crushed as my gun burley..... GOLD LOCALLY I HAVE FOUND .....Since razor fish hard to get , it the next best thing... If you strugling to get rid of them, give me a PM, Cheers Blighty
  21. Ha!!!!Will remember that next time we have mice plague!!!! Killer bait
  22. Gday calais346IMO both are effective but prefer Sqidgies as the they have better range/assortment, keep longer, and the Sqidgie pro range has great scent that lasts, believe me I no GUN!! but flick alot and works for me Cheers Bligty
  23. on a serious note though, rain ok as long as there no wind. I really like going down the onk when it raining and wet, simply don the waders and something waterproof and off you go... The boat on the other hand.. for some reason i find it uncomfortable
