i was starting to think they where adrians new home made fly kit🤔

Finally we have had a bit of rain here today and it's brought the bees out collecting honey, Bumble Bees & native bees were busy on a variety of plants a while ago..
 
I had time to get a few quick pic's before the rain moved in again.. hoping we get a lot more to give the rivers a lift and bring the trout on..

I just use a swivel when joining the main line to a leader as with my knot tying for line to line may not be the best
 
I always use the 'improved clinch knot' when tying a swivel to the leader and when attaching a hook as it is easy and quite strong.
 
But the Palomar knot is really is a knot for line to hook (or swivel) not really a line to line.
 
But when I have joined spoiled Mono (30lb as a spool filler) onto 15 - 20lb Braid I use a Double Uni knot.

Wow!!  Just found this out, thanks to Spotters for putting up the prize and also strike & hook in picking my report as the March winner.. It's very much appreciated, thank you Bjorn for selecting my report..
 
They will be put to very good use inn the rivers down here in Tassie..

I 'liked' your post but I don't like what happened - I feel your pain

It has taken me a few weeks of mourning to post this pic'!  
 
I managed to snap the tips off both my bream rods, a Venom Death Adder and a Dynamix Bream, which were in the car on a fairly recent road trip to Marion Bay. Depressingly all my own fault!
 
R.I.P. my friends.

Just tried this out with a bit of Gummy & prawns. Thoroughly recommended
 
The only changes i made were adding a squeeze of fresh Lemon juice to the sauce & using fresh spinach.

We're supposed to get a shower or two tomorrow so I'm hoping it will be later in the day.. My luck I'll be up early enough and it will be heavy cloud cover..
 
Had I been up ten minutes earlier it would have been fine, once the moon got low into the mist it makes it that much harder to get a clear photo.
 
Not that I'll mind because then I'll head off trout fishing...

Took this photo this morning, didn't come out all that good as I only used my small Canon camera that I use for trout fishing..
 
Didn't have time to grab my good camera  and set it up as the moon was setting too fast at the time.. May get up early tomorrow and see what it's like.
