  1. sorry to hear of your loss, i have friends that live there and they have never said it was a bad area? Now didn't you say it fell off your ute and was on the road? how did these people steal it? sounds like they found it. if you didn't go to the police station to report it how do you know they didn't hand it in as found property?as said sorry for your loss but i think its a bit rough starting a thread putting down a country town and calling people names when you lost it! Stansbury is a nice place, my friends who live there and i have never had any trouble there!cheers chuck
  2. we have the sunbeam food saver, no idea what it cost but it would have been on special does the job well! It's just the price of those bags  it's like buying a printer these days $40 for the printer $100 to re-ink it cheers chuck
  3. the newer breed of top shelf Daiwa reels do not let water inside, snapps lost his Luvius over the side to a big mully, it took us 3 hours to find it and when he took it in for a service the guy said it was bone dry and like new inside.I have never pulled my Daiwas apart and they run as smooth as the day i bought them, the only problem i have had is the bearing in the bail arm roller, believe me this IS your problem! symptoms are exactly the same as you described cheers chuck
  4. check ya roller bearing in the bail arm take it out clean it then grease it up always been the Achilles heel of the Daiwa reel especially when the owner does not clean and protect his reel after use, don't ask how i know cheers chuck

  9. Got a call today from my son who was fishing one of our favourite creeks, they couldn't find one Mully, BUT! there were 15 heads of Mulloway, no bodies just heads, on the bottom that they could see :c who knows how many more where in the deeper water :c i'd really like to know how any marine park or any new rule is going to help fish stocks when the government can't even police the rules they have in place theres always some prick out there that will always kill as many as they can and take what ever they catch by what ever means they like :c NOT HAPPY JAN!
  10. i've fished butlers property for over 30 years but have never been in summer, too hot for me we used to fish from when it re-opened in August/sept till November in that time i have caught and seen caught, Tommies gar squid salmon mulloway and rock fish. It is a great place to be thats for sure as the fishing and scenery is usually great, in summer keep an eye out for the snakes seen heaps there over the years. Treasure cove is a good safe place to fish on the out going or incoming tide for squid and gar, you walk out on the exposed reef to the left of the beach, watch out on the incoming ti
