  10. i picked up a shimano catologue from bcf the other day and it has all new rods. for blades, the new raiders dont have the extended but and they look really good!
  11. i will be mainly using it for small bream lures and soft plastics. im thinking the Ci4 from all these comments
  12. yeah looks is a part of it. i just have a fear that the thin bail arm is gonna break one day..
  13. geez, tough decision!! the ONLY thing i dont like about shimano reels is the flimsy thin bail arm.
  14. hey guys, just after some opinions. im looking at getting either a stradic ci4 or a caldia. mainly for bream and trout. they are both similar in price but im not sure which reel is better....Cheers TK
  15. i agree with the total allowable catch UHF.. but of course their going to try and catch a tonne a night at even $4 or $5 a kilo... big pay for a nights work....
  16. yep i agree. the cockle side of things the pros are a bit greedy but thats about it. pro fisherman look after their spots, thats the reason they can almost always catch fish
  17. i think rec fishos do more damage than pros out there... its the pros job and income, size limits are in place, and pros obay them. there is alot more recos out there than pros, dragging their anchor all over the place.. recs do more damage to the bottom than pros. and not to mention all the rubbish left around the country side...
  18. i love the hooks. but only when im using prawns for bream. let the fish run then hook.
  19. im not sure but the tail looks a bit like a thresher shark.
  20. there are 4 or 5 resident big black rays at stansbury. they were stealin my crab baits all the time... shouldnt be 2 hard to catch
  21. hey justo, if your chasing mullet use size 8 or 10 hooks with cockles or mince meat. spring sinker and you should be rite.
  22. thanks for that, im looking for some 20lb braid now. mite go for fins
