  1. Sorry that did not really help answer your questions. So "I my opinion only" / leave it till Wednesday / 8pm on-wards should work / Yes the wind will help push them to the shore but will make it very hard to see them with the waves it will push up. Try around the yacht club at outer harbor it might be more protected.
  2. Last year I did 2nd 3rd and 4th night and only scored on the 4th. That was July but August I went once the 3rd night and got heaps. I was in a boat not lb as well.
  3. My snapper from that very area. Can't give tips though as this one just committed suicide. Well it must have as I was fishing for whiting, in the middle of an incoming tide, and at midday when it took a whiting snatcher rig with a small piece of squid. But who cares the proof is in the picture I say.
  4. Look at the flathead at 2:58min, good tip for working plastics.(in first vid)
  5. Love to rack your brain on some shark pointers for this time of year. :)But first my pointers on plastics for snook. The most successful for me are 3in gulp shads in new penny colour. Fished on a 1/20th head and retrieved reasonably fast they can't resist them. Don't count them out at night either as they still work but it just harder to control your casting with light jigs when you cant see them.
  6. I was thinking way south say Goolwa, Port Elliot or something like that. I suppose that is not local to Adelaide but I meant on this peninsula as I'm not going past Port Wakefield this weekend.
  7. I want to do an overnight session for some sharks this coming week end and need some advise in where I should try. I want to stay local to Adelaide so which of the southern beaches are worth trying at the moment? I suppose this will be weather permitting but I just need a beach fix it has been to long.
  8. I have been having some great sessions on St's and hard body lures of late but none compare to last weekend when I took my girl for a fish. Not only did she out fish me and my brother inlaw but on more than one occasion she got two fish on the one lure. Yep a fish on both trebles. Ok I realize st's will attack anything when in a frenzy but the look on her face when she pulled them up is perfect.
  9. Catching: While "working" in Ceduna last year I had a few good sessions on the local jetties catching squid but the best came after watching a local and having a chat. He was rubbing the ink off the jetty onto his jig after catching a squid before he would throw it back in. I asked why and he said the squid were attracted to it better. The best tip he gave though was when you catch one throw back into the ink cloud asap as there will be other squid investigating what happened. This proved to be spot on as I did this time and time again always getting 3-4 squid from the one ink spot. Cleaning:
  10. I've been having a lot of success catching tommy's on hard body's in the port of late. Does anyone else target them with hards? Apart from plastics the only way I have got them before is with gents. It was a blast getting them on a popper as well.
  11. Vacuum sealing fish is the best way to go. It also helps to keep bait frozen for longer if you are doing a long trip as it takes all the air out and only takes a minimal amount of ice and locks in any smell.
  12. ok try this Ctrl C this link and Ctrl v it in a new windowhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI45W6YmCrs&feature=plcp
  13. When I work out how to upload a video I will put it up
  14. Thanks for the interest guys, it is an odd story but worth the reading.Myself and two other guys were driving around to Denial Bay jetty from Ceduna to try a spot of fishing. On the way there we passed a small beach where a local had told us is a good calm spot to swim. We decided to pop in for a quick look. As we were parked on the sand my mate spotted a set of fins swimming around chasing schools of bait. At this stage we think it is a shark but I bailed out of the car to grab a rod with my mates asking "are you going to try and catch it" "hell yes" was the reply. As we were going to fish of
