i also check my braid has not looped across the top of the spool after EVERY SINGLE CAST which is a major cause of wind knots, after each cast be sure to give the line a slight tug to keep tension on the spool after the bail arm has been engaged and before retrieving your lure to keep the line tight against the spool as this is when the line lacks the tension and a loop can occur laying on top of the spool instead of around the spool, plenty of time on the water will soon have you fishing braid relativly hassle free cheers snakep.s. try power pro next time, seems to out perform most other bra

these same people probably winge about shark fishing with each other at their local pub then get in their cars half pissed to drive home! like they say, the chances of losing a loved one to a drink driver are a million times greater than losing someone to a shark attack

people spread themselves along beaches anyway so fishing 400m away wouldnt make any difference at all, better of fishing on the jetty so you dont get in there way

jetties are built so people can fish of them, shark fishing from jetties is not illegal so maybe the surf club made a bad judgement basing its activities so close to the jetty regardless of its length,

most shark fishos only fish of jetties so they dont have to worry about their $1000+ shark reels getting covered in sand. Big overhead reels were not designed too be used of beaches and must be avoided due to risking any warranty claims being rejected by the manufacturers

fished it a few years ago aswell but my fish were all little bream but heaps of them,pretty sure there was no private property signs back then, been so long since that sesh maybe the owner got sick of people leaving their rubbish all over the place. Interested to know how you go if you head down that way for a fish
