    squid jags

what colour squid jag catches more squid? i like red but a mate only uses green and does well or does it not really matter, maybe size is more important! any thoughts on the matter? cheers snake
  5. i use them similiar to the way i fish SP, couple of lifts with the rod till you feel em flutter then let them sink to the bottom . it looks like a injured fish or prawn and works for me cheers snake
  6. well done jack glad u persisted with your SP and scored a couple of fish, they arent huge fish but thats not the point, the point is u caught em on the lures u made which gives u the confidence too persist with them on future trips! u gotta be happy with that!! cheers snake

  10. im similar to southie, sometimes i get that itch and will fish nearly everyday other times i just cant be bothered unless a fishing show on tv pops up and i start too get that itchy feeling and i just have too go fishing no matter what! the only difference between southie and me is my mum stopped cooking for me years ago  cheers snake
  11. aww dont feel bad kat, would prefer for you too kill one big bream than kill a dozen undersize fish which happens all the time unfortunatly!! There is no love lost between me and those criminal scumbags
  12. would have too be the fattest bream i've ever seen!! reckon that fish would have left a trench in the sand from the lounge you dragged its fat ass from right up to your feet when you reeled it in !! since thats your first 40cm bream we will forgive you this time for knocking it on the head  better to keep the 28cm - 3
  13. remember working with an old fella at mitsubishi 20 odd years ago and him and his mate would strip engine blocks and make numerous trips dropping them over the side not far from the stanvac refinery jetty, pretty sure they would have rusted away years ago now
  14. man those bananas in the background would be worth a bloody fortune!! and your right that beer can aint that big!
  15. cheers USSR i went to my local tackle store with your awesome line capacity formula memorised in my head (well in my phone actually) and like you, wanted to spool my TLD 50 with 80lb and felt quite confident knowing exactly how much i needed that i would be in and out in a jiffy, no time wasted. So i told the fella i needed exactly 437.5 mtrs of 80lb line after totally impressing him with my calculations, when suddenly everything fell too pieces within seconds after being told they only come in 500,300 and 150 mtr spools!! i said i needed 437.5 mtr spools no more no less and now i am home look
