Cant comment on the new model Fuego but have previously had 2 earlier models in 1000 and 1500 sizes. Very light sound and smooth reels to use. Only moved them on to upgrade. The rod that you have will determine which reel balances the best/is most comfortable. I have a 1-3kg Nitro rod that I had hoped to use a 1000 reel on but it turned out that a 2004 was a better match for it particularly when casting. Good luck with your choice. Regards HBt.

Nice buy Micky. From what I read of the new LT reels the 2500 is only 2mm bigger than the older model 2000 and 3mm smaller than previous 2500. Enjoy and here's hoping that 40cm specimen is not far away . Regards, HBt.

Hi Micky. Fished there Monday morning. Water level low, still weed particularly the northern end and the dolphins swimming by for good measure ... and no fish of any kind that I could tempt. VERY disappointing . Drove past late Wednesday afternoon and it looked perfect particularly for surface action. Hopefully it will pick up as the weather warms up and that weed moves on ... but its seems it may need a whole lot of hope. Regards HBt.

Nicely done. I have done the same on a few hbs by either adding an extra colour as you have or changed the colour. We need to mix things up from time to time. I have often been interested in the colours that people have had their lures re finished to ... but it is all about what works . Regards, HBt.

If I could have just one setup it I would look at a G Loomis rod 7' - 7'6", 2 piece matched up to a Stella 2500FE with a spare 3000 spool. Hope this would do the trick . Regards, HBt.

From my perspective there doesn't appear to be as many bream in the Pat these days as in previous years ... unless its just what I am throwing so changing around until you find the lure of choice on any given day is the way to go. As you noted more often than not we scored bream on lures with an orange belly (and they were generally of the bigger size as well) but the system appears not to be as it was so the need to trial different patterns and colours is paramount. The goal now is to catch bream and hope that every now and then we score a larger model . Regards, HBt.

I have found this is the way to go at least on the rear for 75's and often use size 12 of the same hook on the rear of the 60's Regards HBt.

Hi Mickyj If it was a Cranka minnow you used that was the style of lure that caught you those few mulloway in the Pat From memory it was a gold lure with either black or red blotches on the side Regards HBt

Depends on where I fish I have found that the black gold has caught bream across all my haunts and then it can vary between colours like albino, midnight trout, ghost wakasagi or perch, black sniper and black yamane Again size between 75 and 60 depends on where I am fishing A great lure Regards HBt.
