    SAPES GAMES

Kat I'm guessing your entering th fishing side of things ?? Always gets in the way of golf for me sadly (might have to change that this year !!)Didn't get an email though. Might have to check the other email account. In regards to accomodation....PM Sent !!
  2. Sweet !! Never see too many come with the old snapper lump from over your way
  3. Dubs guarantee it would have happened, just probably engulfed so no eveidence. There's some big boys out there
  4. It would be nice if they jumped on illegal fishing activities that quickly.Called about the same guys spear fishing in the onk sevarl times ove the last few week for no result. They are becoming regulars down there !!Good on you for making the call. My sister in law is the manager down at RSPCA at lonsdale so possibly end up there if they get it
  5. If you look at what they would naturally scavenge on your in with a shot. Cuttle fish is a winner as is squid. They get hammered by the snapper and the crabs clean up the scraps. Gar get hit by snook so they work well as do whiting. If it's smelly and fleshy, can't go wrong. Never found a bait that didn't catch crabs.
  6. I scored a couple from volunteer fisheries at the entrance to goolwa beach last time but the old man has made severalimmitations over the years. Bit of ice cream containers works but prefer 5mm pvc. You can drill a hole into it and attach some cord to go over your hand. Not sure where you get these from tackle stores though. Someones got to have them

    Middle Ground

Used to love playing around with my old mans lawrence paper sounder. Great detail. Still got a sounding of the aldinga drop off around here somewhere....you can just about count all the fish going down the page.
  8. pump what you need and leave the rest for next session.I hear horror stories of some of the old boys metro way pumping a bucket load, using a few the next day and dumping the rest dead....shocking practice. Certainly not sustainable fishing
  9. favoured bait for flathead, bream , mullet, YFW....you name it. Anything that is a bottom feeder in close will love them. To get them you need to pump them out of the sand on a low tide.Ideally, pump them on the out going to peak tide then fish the run in...or for flathead they would smash them on the outgoign over a nice drop off.

    tuna gear

boys what sort of money we talking for the charters down that way ? Never gon efor tuna before but really want to get a decent fight under my belt this year!!
  16. Fishie I've got some of that sawdust from Arthur and must say it's the nicest I have ever used. The flavour it creates is next to none!Still got a bag of wings in the freezer i'v been meaning to do...think you might have just given me the encouragement I needed...
  17. Cheers AFF...already talked to Nev but will be my father and Brother in law so don't want to impose on anyone.Did get a contact out fo the link but hasn't called back yet...fingers crossed !the spots we plan on fihsing was 60km from Broughton or about 15km from Whyalla... no brainer really !! All else fails we will just stay in the caravan park but like the security of a property for the boat. Nomally get a place around broughton or Pt hughes for around $50 a night, 3 bedroom house with lock up fencing !! Can't complain.
  18. I can imagine a few tentacles being ripped off with methods like this... sure wouldn't want to be using braid!Watch the pros... best way to see what works, they throw them all out working the boat clockwise generally and when they are all out the get a test pull to see if there's anything on there whiach acts as natural looking movement anyway and they are left to sink again while they move onto the next. Easy method, time proven and effective !....what's swines method...1..2..3...4..gone... but hey, he looks cool!
  19. You've got to be joking me....Looks like life has taken a turn for the Swine since leaving Strikehook..he's taken to comedy to pass the time:laugh: My favourite aprt... watching him hit himself in the head with a star sinker with a pink kids rod while showing jigging techniques for 60cm bream.... yeah... give me the blue pills...
  20. couldn't get teh whyalla link to open but heading over that way early April for a 4 day long weekend with one thing on my mind ..break my PB!!Anyone know of any shacks over there you can rent ??

    Nippers

nah mate.. one he found himself....fired in deeper water for the YFW whiting after wading out to it as well.... left em biting ! Nice size to!

    Nippers

Mate that's one up on me...never tried for them but then again never needed to. Cockles and squid/cuttlefish are usually my go to bait from the boat and never really done huge amounts from land based for the smaller stuff on bait.Good luck though, it's not that hard once you get your eye in. Me and Marsone got a patch of nippers that would have seen us fish for hours if we had the time.
  23. Nev i'd be taking the gear straight back and asking for a credit or money back mate. Spending decent money on snorkeling gear need not be too expensive but it does make a difference that's for sure. As for the light... got to be faulty!!Good work though, love your commitment.
