  1. I use the Albright Knot, as long as you have enough pressure on the tags it doesn't slip.Try trimming the tag end a little longer with some lines, as they tend to use it to self-tighten. If you know what I mean
  2. It is legal in a couple of other states, Kmart do not discriminate! Nor do aardvarks, be carful. If you just cut it back to a 3 hook rig you will be all legal.
  3. Holy **** that graphite thinks it's fibre glass! This will be a sick combo, what are you planning to use it for?I mainly have cork handles on my rods, I don't see anything wrong with them. Do you know why people don't like them?
  4. Did you fish on the bluff or GI? Good job winning the comp mate!
  5. If there is 3ft to a meter, that is OVER 21ft long!
  6. Thank god, such an iconic colour can't be lost so easily.Fussy fish love the original bloodworm

  8. squid tentacle will get through the pickers until a bigger fish swallows it.
  9. If targetting them, small soft plastic grubs would go well. Lightish jig head, 1/12th in low current/granite island jetty water.Use light gear for them, good scrappers when the line is below 6 pound.
  10. Yes, but not as many as the bluff.Go to GI and burley up, lot's of small tommies to play with and the moment you manage to drift a bait past them Silver trevally will snaffle it.
  11. I would have to go for Aussie salmon aswell.Take all kinds of lures and baits, Can be caught in calm estuarys to rugged surf beaches all the way out to greenly island and back to jettys and bays! You can use nice light gear for them and they fight in many different ways.
  12. If you could only fish for one type of fish for the rest of your life, What would it Be?
  13. What I mean by melting is that Z-mans if stored with another plastic have some kind chemical reation causing them to melt the other one and itself. I had a double tail plastic in my pocket tacklebox, after fishing a Z-man for no interest I chopped it off and dropped it in the wrong slot. 2 Days later went back down and opened the tacklebox to find an Molten mess! One part of the tail was sticking out of another innocent plastic and there was just this squelchy core of goo left on the jig head.I think it is only the Z-man material that does this. Read the back of the pack
  14. Many places still sell the older squidgys if it is a problem. If they are infact Z-man they will melt with other soft plastics. The thing that annoys me most is that the bloodworm colour has changed so drastically!
  15. Been fishing Hindmarsh Island/goolwa over easter. Yesterday I fished two hours for 3 carp, thing was they were 72, 73 and 75cm! :woohoo:Today I fished around 5 hours in two stints for 16 carp, most small around 40cm. Got 1 50cm and and 68cm as the last fish of the day.
  16. One of my dogs is redfin resistant, another is chocolate but thats another story :laugh:Gee, How long would it have taken to work that out? Even more, people would of had to continue to eat this fish and die until they got it right
  17. As I said, over unproductive/barren land it makes sense. But why on earth would you drop a seagrass rejuvination reef on existing segrass beds?
  18. Reefs over previously unproductive land (eg large expanses of mud/sand) could only produce more food. Those reefs are like little pit stops for the fish, rest, recover, refuel. But when these reefs trample seagrass, natural formations like gutters, current lines etc they would disrupt the natural food.Just my view, seems logical to me.
  19. I suppose a long leader would be necessarey. You could try a little bit of thread tied around a really little hook. Just to make it look like a little piece floating down. I have some size 24 fly hooks that would be perfect for it, I might have to try myself.
  20. Dolphins are mammals mate But in all seriousness there is either something really wrong or there are some dodgy people out there Any way If the fish thing was to do with temperature I doubt it will be the same as the dolphins, mammals regulate temp fish can't.
  21. ^^ Exactly, we now just need some company to invent a 100 (A tenth of the size of a 1000) reel and some 200g line to spool it with. Then a really light rod and bingo a mega tommie could set you back 5 or 6 minutes to land. :woohoo:
  22. A shag once swooped down and took my slowly retrieved pilchard off Pt.Victoria jetty.Luckily it was only hooke through the eyes, meaning the body just ripped off and every body was ok.
