  10. Here's one that has me pineing awesome footage ;D :'(. It's call "Images of a Northern Estuary" It's put together by Graeme Williams of Insight Fly Fishing Darwin and Barry Anderson. Graeme is the primo Fly fishing guide for the Top End. He guided Lefy and Harro in an old Video I have about Barra Base and PNG Black Bass. Anyone heading up that way for a fly fish should seriously consider a trip with him even if it's a day trip. www.insightflyfishing.com.au

  14. Well hit the beach nice and early not a bloomn whiting to be seen. Ended up at sullies boat ramp. Got one Squidly and a heap of undersize bream still good fun. I was using a nylon stocking with half a tommie in it and just grabing em with my fingers. Found that a very fine coating of sand on your fingers helped grip them snd sa slight roll of the rest to draw them up a bit. Hard to discibe theres a bit of a knack to it. ;D
  15. Finally cracked it worked out how to catch bloomin beach worms. After my first attempt a fortnight ago (2 worms in 3 hours)thought I'd have another crack at em.Mrs 1fish and I hit a local southern beach worms everywhere. Needless to say after a few missed worms worked out how to grab the buggers properly ended up with a dozen nice fat worms in a bit over an hour. ;D ;D ;D All ready for a yellowfin flick early tommorrow. Can't wait ;D ;D
  16. Could be onto somthin theremate. Up north at night when we hit the billagongs if you hit the water with a spotty everthing in there had beady red eyes including the crocs. Certanly food for thought.
  17. I found with bright sub surface flies a bit of contrast used to work a treat always carried a black permant marker in my kit. Have a bit of a theory about red reflective eyes on flys and lures to. Still experimenting with it but jury is still out.
  18. Stickle backs in a butterfly net in a pond in the UK as a 6-7 year old. First rod caught fish was a roach fishin with dad. First ozzie fish was a legal mullet off one of the Sandbars at Marino near the Caravan Park.
  19. Nice work bud looks like a nice tidy lil fly what size hook have you tied it on? Be interested to hear how it goes mate.
  20. Soft as mate, To cold if it's below 20 to hot if it's over 36 ;D ;D.
  21. Thanks heaps guys great stuff will be heading out soon once this wheather cools just a bit. Believe it or not it's a tad warm even for me at the mo .

  23. If you've got a bit of slack on the old Credit Card Grant's book of fishes is my bible.
  24. G'day MorningFresh.First suggestion mate grab a pair of Polariod sunnies and have a sticky around the pylons there are mobs of fish around em (Small amounts of berley often will help). I us a size 8 - 6 suicide hooks single or snelled for Bream or size 8 Mustad fine worm hooks for whiting. I use a very basic running sinker rig with the least amount of lead needed to hold bottom. I have even dropped right down to a small single split shot on somedays. Bait Beachworms are my fav at the mo as everthing from Schoolies to whiting eat em. I also use Mullet mix, Whitebait and salted pilly pieces. Hop
  25. All the above depending on conditions and species also depends on how energitic I feel. ;D
