Cleaned out my fishtank y/day and found alive and kicking the bloodworm stuck in their in July. Went from the water in the river about 12-13 degrees C to a tank around 26d C no dramas.Along the length of its body it was lit up with two bright blue fluro lines. Same colour as when you pull the pick at night.Hardy little suckers

I like to pin upper and lower jaws and have a 2nd smaller stinger hook hanging free.With livies I reckon always use two hooks.When fishing livies for mullies, snaps or kings I would go a suicide style 10/0 for pinning the jaws and a 4/0 - 6/0 as a stinger.Many times especially mullies Ive had them nail the fish by the throat area. If you pin the back of the head often you will fail to hook up. Similarly if you just pin the jaws u will fail. Bloodworms can launch their mouths out of their heads and look a bit like they are spewing them out. ???Clickers leave a small volcano like mound above the surface ???

When u carp fish just use 1 no 6 hook.No sinker no swivel nothing else. Use maximum 3 kg lineShould increase your catch rate.

Agree with CK here,Its windy, waves are rolling in and out. Ive been using o/heads for at least 25 years and I would still recomend an Eggbeater too.Go a baitrunner if bait fishing. Stick to conventional eggbeater if spinning, bit lighter casting all day long.Far far easier to use. Alveys are awesome but 1 - 1 retreive can be a bit S L O W on the retrieve.

A friend of mine Adam has nailed legal mullies of Ardrossan and kingies from under wallaroo jetty.Not certain but fairly confident he was using profile clousers. Bloke by the name of Bruce Brown showed many of us how to tie them. He has a dvd available with a whole range of larger flies including an awesome squid fly pattern on there. Bruce is the fly fishing champion of NT I forget how many years running. If your interested I can pm you his number if you want a copy. He is the undisputed mully king when it comes to fly especially in the onk. He would probably be happy to give you some pointer

Agree with fishie theres a lot of grounds out there.If you sound around slowly in the right areas there are drops and natural reefs everywhwere. Its tough not to share, you want to bring joy to your friends. Everyone likes putting their mates onto fish. Problem is you take someone especially if they've been struggling, they have the best fish of their season, you show them where the fish are and then say, YOU CAN NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN !How can you do that, its tough. You know what,Isnt life great, Of all the times for him to head out..... he got busted. Lifes funny like that...... Now whenever he sees you I only fish with the same few friends, friends I can trust. Hardest part is taking the risk with new people, worth it though you could find some top blokes to add to ya group of trusted. If they open the hobart you could imagine the mayhem, anchors pulling, ripper current. Enforcing certain dates for boats other for divers ?Logistical nightmare. Glad Im not the only one then, I remember getting our 20 whiting once in about 15 mins. then having 5-6 boats roll up. We pulled our lines off the bottom and sat there for almost an hour til they all left. Once they left dropped the lines and got our second bag in about 10 minutes.
