  4. srick...lookin at your leopard shark pic ..id say thats a seven gill, just a darker one. The smaller ones seem to be all sorts of colours and paterns. (7gills from wot ive noticed .
  5. Piranha is this a tiger shark? something is wrong with its eyes too !!:ohmy:im pretty sure there are a few diffrent species of 7 gill shark twinpower. those links brenton put up on small carpet shark look close too..mouth structure would be the key.

  7. first look thought was a gummy , but not 100%.. seven gills have huge mouths.

  9. Yepp....once in a blue moon...i get to go fishing
  10. i dont have much success fishing during the night while there is a full moon and a clear sky, im only talking landbased by the way but i have though found that day time fishing is better during this time, and i usually do better during the day rather than the night .also the night before and after a full moon...i try to avoid.i rekon i do better 4 nights b4 the full or 4 nights after ....yall think im crazy ..i bet!
  11. Nice photos Kat, you could come on any trip im going on, as long as you bring that camera and use it !thanks 4 sharing!
  12. Rekon i fished less than 10 times this spring/summer, landbased only 4 me.fished 2 times so far after xmas:huh: ....shocking i know. not even trying.
  13. Yep in beanies in amongst jumpers lol
  14. I usually use a beany or 2 to transport my reels to and from jetties, soon to be transported to Nth Tce maybe too!
  15. Nice fat bream that one kat , congrats!! wonder what it woulda weighed in at.
  16. im no snapper expert but are you fishing land based or off a boat ? the more info you give the more accurate replies to that style of fishing you will get.if your doing it landbased will it be off a jetty . rocks or beach? i generally use squid for targeting snapps , but on boats fish work better most times ive tried.dont know if id try baby occy land based , the occy lures seem to work on boats.
  17. Ballast water maybe ? id say govt departments wouldnt wanna know and would probably try to make you beleive its some sort of algae.
  18. Send it to pirsa they might find it intersting!as for me no idea really , could have a stab and say pelican dropings after too many carp.looks like pollution to me. bit like oil.Deffinetly doesnt look good whatever it is.nice find anyway.
  19. Hi, ive used Mr Sheen to clean my rods a few times and was happy with the outcome.I also once experemented with an old broken rod with a clear varnish that id bought from some tackle shop. Wasnt happy with that outcome as it just flaked awayjust by using my fingernail. Then i tried the 2 part epoxy resin that you mix yourself, this is deffinetly the way to go!projoe is giving you good advise , as this is the way i did mine too on a warm day.A turning machine will help lots too , it makes it all even ...roknev uses a spit motor ,and i will too next time im rebuilding.Harry
  20. hmmmm....sounds like someones had some fun!!!how come we didnt hear bout that one till now TP?
  21. so do i just splice the rope to a d clip and connect that to my gaff?you can do that TP, just splice a loop in the rope and unscrew a D shackle to put it around the loop .. i like the clips cozz it makes it easy to get a bucket of water.just make sure your D shackle fits the gaff and loop nicley.
  22. TP as long as its soft and thickish and reaches way more than just the water off the highest jetty, ill put up a pic 4 ya too...lolthe middle rope is 20 years old plus, think silver rope is right name for it.the bottom one is nearly brand new ...never used yet ...i think. top one is thinnest 12mm i think.oh yea if you buy it from a boating shop get them to splice the ends for you , then you can use it as a tail rope easily too.i had to work all this crap out myself ya know!Harry
  23. id have to say the white soft rope ,think the stuff i use is either 12mm or more.Harry
  24. Thanks Ash , Now that you say it ,makes perfect sense .Not very often do i get out in a boat these days.Used to go with an inlaw and fish some drops out from Cowell which were very productive most times.Mostly land based these days.cheers Harry
