finatic 1
Can't believe it's taken so long to get a Callop post up.These couple of beauties came from above Kingston bridge September last year, during the Callop Classic. This years event is scheduled for September 20 & 21. Entry $100 per team of 2, all ABT rules apply, ie livewell of 60litres, 3.6m minimum, PFD per person, Kill switch etc.Last years event to be any indicator, should be a great weekend.Finatic http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/1nicds5y__Kym_56cm.jpg[/img] http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/rvBZFbMY__dad_43cm.jpg[/img]

madeyes 0
3.6m minimum, FinaticIs that boat length?
finatic 1
Yes, minimum boat length 3.7m, minimum 60 litre live keep well, does not have to be plumbed ie an esky with an air pump would do, an engine kill switch with wrist lanyard & PFD on each person whilst under power of engine, always a hot point minimum engine power, 20hp is considered the minimum however if you & partner are 60kg & your boat will plane with a 9hp I should not see a reason to disallow entry, the tournament director would have to rule on this. More info on this link http://www.bream.com.au/abt/2008/breamrules08.pdf Disregard pages 1,7,8,9 &10 & references to ABT membership, prize monies etc. These will vary from tournament. jmw 0
@ Shauno- we had been casting all morning and had a few small hits, but no hookups and decided to go for a troll, and got the callop within the first 50m or so.@Shark_Fisho- We fished mosty HBs but we threw some spinners around at times. The fish me and willy did get were on HBs.
