szkolka 0 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Share Posted December 19, 2008 mine was about 80kg and about 4 foot wide. i didnt get it fully landed because we didnt have a gaff, when we tried to beach it it cut through my 50lb leader. i count it as a catch though. i had it in the shore break. i was using a 24kg azagie rod with a shitty reel with 20lb line. theres a pic of me loaded up to it in my sig pic at a beach. Guest Butters Posted December 28, 2008 Report Share Posted December 28, 2008 We were out from about 6:00 onwards.. snapper plans were spoilt so we took to calmer waters..Hard to say how heavy it was.. but it was Big! 40 something kgs.. Took me close to 15mins to get to the boat.. had it at the boat for 5mins before i snapped the windon mid trace, so i could help my mate get his hooks back.. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
