Nice, when you can't get out & chase them yourself watching someone else do so is the next best thing! What area where you blokes fishing?

Did you check out the Daiwa Windcast 6000's in R&A's? Nice looking reel for the price tag. Very similar in looks to the higher end models with a few less bearing's/features. Would rather use one of them any day after having a 950ssm which was way too weighty for my liking.

Ebay gets most of my money as its a hell of a lot easier finding what you want than having to drive all over town & no local tackle shop exept R&A's comes close to price. Locally Ray & Annes purely for the range & fairly good pricing + stock a lot of JDM stuff that no others in town have.

Not sure if it has already been mentioned as I have not bothered to read the entire thread but a camping/entry permit for either beaches. Last thing someone with a permit wants is someone without one camping on there site. The rangers seems to be out in force more so which is a good thing.

9.5kg (90cm) on a 4'6" Ugly Stik with a Shimano Sedona 1000FD running 6lb mono. Was a very strange hook up that one the fish bit like a timid Kg whiting & then took off like a freight train. Was a great little mini rod & reel went on to catch just about everything until she went over the side.

Think the YouFishTV blokes launched there BC 620C off that thing, was in mint conditions but still looks like a very daunting place to launch anything at the best of times!
-
Can't comment on the reels but if the torque surf rods are anything to go by the reels would probably be very good too.

When seen a big pod of dolphins but no Tuna around from what we could see, where the fish hitting the surface when you seen the dolphins?

Should have launched from Victor Fishie, was flat as in the morning & only picked up for a few hours towards KI & then dropped off again. We ended up heading to the pages & trolled from there out to the banks. Total tally for the day was a heap of km's & not even one hit. Did not see a single bird over the 7 hours we where out for.
-
What time you going to be launching Fishie, thinking about doing a trip down south but not sure if to launch at VH, CJ or Wirrina as a plan B. Need a tag along? Initially was thinking Victor but was unsure on the conditions.

Only 5 that I ever use & cover me for all my fishing situations.1.) Uni Knot.2.) Common Snell.3.) Bimini Twist.4.) Dropper Loop.5.) Nail Knot.

Beautiful looking colours, anyone know if they hang around in small schools at all? As caught two in a row on this particular drop where we had never caught one before.
-
Caught a couple in a session targeting Kg's off Wirrina last year, meant to be good eating but visually too nice of a fish for that.

So it would be a real shame if you "accidentally" got this section caught up in your prop & had to cut it off?? Mongrels are cleaning out every single drop in the gulf, feel sorry for the Snapper & the lack of next season.

Looks like a deformed Southern Calamari to me or may have been injured in the past?. Not a Arrow Head that is for sure.

As long as they are legal here then there are no problems. Have bought a few knives from the U.s & Germany in the past & arrived without any dramas at all, these where folding filleting knives.

Yep nearly hit a boat anchored with no lights on last weekend down south, donkey switched his lights on quick when he realized we where nearly on top of him though!! :c As others have mentioned best to take it nice & easy in the dark, a decent spotlight might be a worthwhile investment.

Was a bit of both really, was previously using the red No.6 Owner Mutu Light Circles but ran out & for the life of me could not track anymore down locally with ease. The only shop I was getting them from closed up, seen the BM KL's on sale in one particular shop & thought why not. Unfortunately they seem to be a hard hook to locate too, went past the shop I got them from the other day actually & the rack was clean.

I use Black Magic KL 1/0's, makes for a beautiful site when whiting fishing with two rods & sitting there watching both rods load up at the same time. Work excellent when the fish are biting really timidly too & a bonus is the hooks never seem to get snagged up either.

Are theses actually new models or just Japanese only versions that are now being released for the Australian market?

New product - for the soft plastic lovers!

The lids look like they are just a press on type, wonder how secure & leak proof they would be? I got my Gulps in the Plano sp storage containers. Cheap, leak proof, have a screw on lid & even come with a little pair of tongs to fish out your desired plastic with.http://www.bcf.com.au/online-store/products/Plano-Liqua-Bait-Locker-Bottle.aspx?pid=273413#Description -
Vote for Hornes as well, after much deliberation & trying out various cheaper brands ended up with a pair of these. No one offered any waist waders versions off the shelf either so went past there wingfield factory & got measured up for a pair. Great friendly people & the price was well worth it. Quality & materials are way better than the cheap brands & as rocknev mentioned the boots are really comfortable too. Other plus is you can pick & choose from 3 different types of boots that you want on your waders.

In regards to some of your other queries, I also have a sensor surf & a couple of Seajiggers. So comparing them all can honestly say the Saltiga Surf is better than both. I would be comparing the longer models more to a cheaper version of a Ballistic Surf than anything else. Has the same adjustable weights in the butt section, same grips & V-Flex Ferrule design to name a few. One of the thing's I love about them is the fact that they are rated to handle a decent amount of lead. I have 2 of the 12' spinning models, one is a 15-30lb (3-6oz) & the other is the 20-40lb (4-7oz) (which s
