    Not the right season for YFW along the metro coastline, you will be better off heading to westlakes as there are an array of species that you could catch!

    From what i have hears and seen..... search for an brand called Sealion Braid..... Super thin, ties well, breaks well above breaking strain, alot of "gun" anglers use this stuff..... Cheap too......

    Mullet mix from Tackle shops, bread, cockle, worm, gents.... As mentioned they will eat anything pretty much... I find they feed hard when in Tight schools... The lower half of yorkes should be firing now with the big mullet run... I always did well along the beach behind marion bay Caravan park!

    That will come later mate... At the moment i just want to get the fundamentals down packed then ill start to get the more advanced things happening. Certainly got the bug for it now though.... Especially since i got the casting right anyway... Makes it more enjoyable when you can lay out a nice cast and not have to worry about getting caught on stuff!

    Went down to a Dam that was wide open and nothing really to snag on so i thought i would try out my fly setup ive gotten over the last couple weeksIts a 7ft Custom 4/5 weight rod with a 5 weight reelLong story short After having a few mishaps and catching myself on my arse i finally managed my first fish on a fly!Wasnt big but i have caught the bug!Caught 3 all up before the weather turned bad...

    If you want bream try around old noarlunga... look for snags and structure... always a chance of a mully too

    id personally go for a smaller reel like a 1000 size.... i have a 1-3kg rod and its 7' no dramas at all with casting accuracy tight spaces etc... mind you my combo cost me over $600but Id go for a 6'6-7' 1-3kg rod with a 1000 size reel like the aird or similar and then some good 4lb braid...

    3lb braid with anywhere between 2-4lb leader for me on an 1000 size reel, 1-3kg rod...... I use this for everything from tommies,gar and trout to mullies!
