more fungi from a trip to Loongana and a very small cluster of them inside of a hollow  retaining wall block at home.. note the slug in there with them. I didn't notice it until I trimmed the photo..

On my walk back to the car yesterday after a spin session in the Meander River (report to come soon) I came across a couple of Fungi something I love taking photos of.

The bottom photo of the fungi was taken on the side of a steep hill I had to crawl up to get back from the river up to the roadway before getting back to the car at the end of my fishing session..

    cheers

With two months still to go before the trout season opens I go for walks in the rain forests looking for & photographing the variety of Fungi that grows in them. They only last a few days so it's a matter of being there at the right time.. Here's a few photos that I took last week....

Excellent photo as usual Adrian, just after seeing yours I got this from a mate in the US, he took it at sunset while fishing in his "pond", that is his house on the left.

Thanks guys, yes quite often come across them in the rivers.. here's one from the Mersey River when I was fishing, it sat there until I took it's photo then moved off.

It's really great to see them when fishing the rivers, I've had them swim between my legs on several occasions, I just remain motionless so they don't notice any movement.

    cheers

Hey bratko, no offence taken. I just thought it was interesting how their government wants more people fishing. Our seems to be heading the other way. Maybe they see the economic value in us???

I don't make pellets just crab, prawn, yabbies and oyster shells, that I introduce to "Mr ANGRY" A long neck Rover muncher that makes a joke of the above left overs and is choice for all types of fish you are chasing. I can make 10 litres in about 20 seconds (sounds like a 747 starting up) Google it at trading place or Gumtree.

After visiting Panga, I loved the idea of Mr Angry

I bought mine mainly for my mully/ beach fishing so mainly not to feed the seagulls.

But this is a batch of whiting / general that I knocked up using yabbies both cooked and green, shrimp, crab, cray, pillies, squid, chook crumbs and pellets with a dash of tuna oil.

This is then frozen in pvc tube that been cut to suit my burley pot

Now just have to go fishing to try it out, hopefully one day

Thanks for the offer Flukey. I need to get my own anyway, I could use it for garden tidy ups often.

Definitely on the lookout Panga. Will probably get one soon.

I ended up just doing the softer fish with little to no bones and will save the larger frames, heads etc for when I get a mulcher.

I've got a mulcher you can borrow Bjorn, it's nowhere as powerful as Pangas but I only paid $30 for it so I don't care if it dies. I've mulched frozen squid, salmon frames and cockles etc and it worked pretty well. I like to throw in bran and pollard with a splash of tuna oil to thicken it up.
