SurfcaztR reacted to doobie in Looking for YFW on Lure Chasers....
I suppose you could give them a go but wouldn't think too big. After all, a successful lure is the Sugapen 95 and that is longer (but not cheap). The 70mm is worth having too.
The best thing is to have a range of sizes and types - on the day, what doesn't work another might.
Have a look at these posts by mikecatts - he has a range of lures of lures that may help in what to have in your kit.

SurfcaztR got a reaction from Soobz in Happy Valley Reservoir opening in December
Complete chaos at Happy Valley reservoir.
A guy says seen 15 Cod caught in 15 mins from shore plus Cod being dragged out over ground and bagged, what a mess it has been over the weekend.plenty more shenanigans to come.

SurfcaztR got a reaction from Sykes in Happy Valley Reservoir opening in December
The Rangers were there on and off and did educate some of do's and don'ts but they had other places to be as well and once they are out of sight anything can happen with out them as the temptation in catching one of the 1,000 Cod in there and on the dinner table.Signage is around the place re fish limits and rules but the public turned zombie and ignored common sense, I'm too avoiding the place for a while.

SurfcaztR got a reaction from Softy in Mount Bold Reservoir Opening
David Speirs MP
Mount Bold Reservoir Reserve is open for business! It’s South Australia’s biggest reservoir (holding over 46 gigalitres of water!) and is surrounded by rugged hill country. Today a 10km network of new trails and a spectacular lookout opened as Stage One of public access to this site was rolled out. There’s much more planned in Stage Two including more trails, water access and fishing!

SurfcaztR got a reaction from keenfisho in Palm Cove info wanted
A couple pics of Pt Douglas taken at a water side cafe called "the tin shed" and next to the ramp.Sat there having lunch watching a school of Kingfish doing loops out in front, surface Kingfish diving one foot you would lose site of them being murky water. Here's a few links of the area live surf cams.

It is a great area to visit and explore.
Pity the conditions weren't the best for fishing opportunities but 2 Barra's is still pleasing.
