Hope this continues every month as I want to get out fishing. (desperately) Just need crew and weather.
 
Bloodworm run and winter whiting coming very soon so I will be coming out of hibernation as of next week.
 
Also going to Cairns at the end of the end of the month fishing with Joy and will take camera and not pad to capture wins and failure's. Have access to brother in-law's  6.4 mtr alloy set up with 2 x 90hp motors and electric motor rigged up to his GPS so no anchoring required in 300' + water.
But having said that "there's no place like home" so I can appreciate the KG's, snapper and squid we have in our great state which is the best IMO.

KIDNEY SLAPPER with his report ANOTHER DAY AT WORK a work day that we all wish for. Onya mate, a couple of good reports coming through from you and also the rest of the guys that are braving the cold at the moment.

A good paddle around anyway and will be interesting on your next trip to see if they are on the bite with a different tide level etc.
 
With the cold weather I bet the 'toy' had shrunk' !! 

Good to take note of the mulloway and such sitting around and what stage of the tide it was. A different tide stage and they may come on the chew around the mullet congregations.
As for the other things.... Well. Ideally wouldnt want to foul hook one of those

Great place to fish.  The couple of times I have fished there I have never been able to relax thinking about what might be happening to my car.

Seeing it was a cool sunny day and I was feeling a little bored I two my two cameras to Gowrie Park in the hope if may find some fungi to photograph..
 
Well I did manage to find a few fungi here and there as I wandered through the rain forest in what was very cool, damp conditions just below Mt. Roland. I just love going there as the air always smells fresh as ever..
 
O'Neils Creek which flows through it had a nice flow to it as well and It was great to sit on a log next ti the fern lined creek for some 15 minutes and take it all in.. very refreshing for the mine, body & sole..
 
So here's a few of some 50+ photos taken this afternoon... There wasn't a real lot of fungi around today which was a shame.. still got a few good photos I think..

Took all the colour out of this and filtered out the red which made them pure white..

Well I got that totally wrong! Seems they are expanding the factory and need more staff (no mass exodus as suspicious me thought). The post on Boatsales states that Haines Hunter are building a different line of boats which will be offered as "hull only" for the DIY brigade. 

You know how we like to say their bigger than they really are
 
He reckoned they were just under the kilo when he went past me - and they did look a good size from the distance when he caught them - bet he was a little disappointed
