Had a rock fishing session yesterday, hoping to find a few Gar. We found a spot out of the wind. Had to work hard to get a feed, but just about managed to fill a few plates last night, bulked it out with a large portion of potato salad  Gotta luv a feed of fresh Gar. :cheer:

Great video Jack, and well done to the next generation Port fisher!

Nice idea, I'd buy a S&H calender for sure. :f Not sure how difficult/time consuming it would be to organise.

Great video JW, luv it. If that doesn't get you pumped for a fishing session nothing will. :woohoo:

Bit over the top for dropping your crab nets! :silly:

Get out there and have a go mate' date=' make your own stories. :woohoo: Travel light if you're going to the end, avoid the seals, try a few different techniques and if you can't find any Snaps try a few different targets. I used to walk out there a few times a year and had a few ripper sessions and a few not so hot This pic' is from the rocks about 2 thirds of the way out.[img']http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/2986/img4907g.jpg[/img]Good luck.yeah ive heard a few stories about the snapper of the breakwater

A quiet morning at the NH boat ramp this morning Ugly. I went for a quick flick off the rocks and only saw one boat heading out, but that was one more than the number of fish I saw.

As often as I can, but not as often as I'd like... but that can be said for a few things in life... :c .....

As my daughter is driving me to work most days it gives me a chance to have a good look at this area as we drive past. I've seen people fishing near the Watershed cafe, and in the waterways just before the South Rd turn off heading towards the Port. I think there are no fishing signs in some areas but haven't done a proper search. I have seen the bow wave of decent sized fish on the surface and a large fish getting airborne, all in the short time we're driving past, so there must be a few in there. :f :f :f

Good luck with the YFW on poppers mate, you know where they are already   the fun bit is learning a new technique to catch them. :woohoo: I look forward to seeing some successful reports/photos. Off topic: I see you changed your Avatar, nice looking Kingy, you should post a report about that fish mate.

Left the Gents out of the fridge after the last trip and they weren't looking to flash  :vomit: And had some Squid bits from the last trip out. I also tried a tip from 'Fishie' using SP flick bait tails  + scent, looked good but no luck, so I went back to the SquidCheers Pirate Pom. Why the different bait? Deliberate or did you leave the gents in the fridge at home?

Nice work MM, great read and top photos. Cheers

I love this type of thread, when Mulloway gurus like Jack & snapperhead (+ others) give little insights into some of their successful fishing techniques. I read it, take it in, and if I get the chance I will test out some of the theories. :f The video show a slightly different technique, one that would seem slightly more logical than a Mulloway taking Soft Plastics off the bottom, but from my limited Bream and SP experiences that’s exactly what the Bream do! IMHO it’s what fishing is all about, learning and trying different techniques and then personally nailing a particular fish with a specific technique, but until then it’s just theories, myths and rumours. Cheers for the video TT97 and nice fish NickMav.

Nice work Jimbo Maybe not many fish from the first area, but looks like a beautiful spot. Great video as always. Cheers.

I opened my collapsible net this morning in the anticipation of some fishy success in a quick LB flick before work, and it was cactus I've had it for a few years and it was cheap, but can't remember where it came from. I'll be looking for a replacement tonight and will let you know if I find a decent buy.

The other option is a double smelled gang' date=' with one hook in the shoulder' date=' and another toward the back.[/quote'']Extra scent????
