    GoPro Hero 3

The Liquid Image Ego is almost spec for spec with the GoPro H3 Silver Edition yet retails at $199. I have used them since they arrived in the country last year and to be honest, compared to GoPro Hero 2's they are better quality video, and way outshine them underwater. I am yet to do a Hero 3 Silver Edition comparo yet, but I am very sure they'll hold their own. They must be pretty good competition for GoPro to bring out a 'de-specced' White Edition to try and price point match them, although at RRP of $269 the GoPro White has only a 5MP CCD, compared to 12MP of the Silver and the Ego.Purely my
  2. Plus one for Fleurieu Charters (and of course again for all these threads popping up asking the same question) as they are great bunch of blokes, and I do 4 to 5 charters a year with them and have a ball every time.
  3. ^^ What Mark said. We do a good 4 or 5 charters a year with the Fleurieu boys and they never let us down
  4. Use yellow if you want to see what your line is doing but red is the first colour of the spectrum that disappears underwater
  5. I know a fella that bought three of them last time CoTD had them. One lasted 5 minutes, the other two have been good to him. Mainly uses them for Gar/Tommies off his tub.
  6. Decent mate! That's a cracker grey sub!Yeah, the skipper is alright......
  7. Nice video mate, some great angles and some great fish!Which one were you using for the underwater shots?
  8. lol, Batman reckons he doesn't need Robin anymore :PWe did fish further inland towards American River way for Whiting for a quick bit, just as the cameras were all running out of power
  9. Cheers Twitch, really glad ya liked it mate :DYou'll love heading out with these boys, they're great value and have done many trips with them, with many more in the future! Thanks LF, yeah Batman is most definitely an all rounder
  10. Thanks bro, yeah all footage was taken between CJ and KI along the passage.
  11. Hey ya'll,I got some new cameras in stock last week and they arrived just in time to test them out on a charter we had booked in for Friday. I wasn't planning on a video, we were just testing out what the camera's could do (I was actually just testing the slo-mo footage of the new Sony Action Cam). But between the three cameras I ended up with enough footage to throw a rough vid together, the boys liked it so we're planning a proper promo vid next time :)Hope ya like it![video width=640 height=360 type=youtube]8AQMXtVdaQA
  12. Seems the videos' are being removed at an alarmingly quick pace.I assume from the comments I'm reading the guy was out of line, and since he got fired pretty much immediately, i do feel for the captain. As someone who's hired and fired before, it's sometimes hard to get good staff who are supposed to be representing your company. Luckily the captain acted quick with his dismissal, but some scars may never heal.
  13. Caught some big ones on a charter between the cape and KI, but nothing metro. As bjorn said, Waterboy has caught a few locally though
  14. As many times as I've seen it, it never gets old
  15. Oh and sorry if I didn't make it clearer earlier, this wasn't for a separate website, I was gonna put this database together for Aarron. nvm anywho
  16. The idea was for you fishos to provide a place for new fisho's like me a central location for data, so we don't have to continually post the same stuff over and over again, or as a reader, sift through the same questions over and over again. All good, I've found another project that needs my attention
  17. Ah fair enough, look it was just an idea that's all. I like to be able to read, not scour through a zillion posts to find things. Just trying to help.
  18. I'm not a lure users myself yet, but getting the 'fishing disease' coming on big time it'll be no doubt only weeks or months before I break out a lure to try. I notice on SH that there are millions of threads to follow on "What do I use for....", or "What's the best lure for...." so I thought about getting a repository together, a single location we can point people to (especially new lure users) where we can supply a fisho's feedback on what type of lure for what sort of fish and/or conditions....and we dont have to dig up old threads or post the same guff over and over again.I was thinking a
  19. I'll be hitting up the Onk this arvy if you're keen brah, check ya PM's
  20. So cool, I want to catch one of these babies so bad. I love the ugly stuff :)If bled and finned early, I believe they make a great feed, fillet them and freeze them for a week or two before cooking helps lessen the 'amonia' taste in the flesh of the bigger ones.Wonder what gear he caught it on and what he was actually targeting....
  21. Wow, nice catch mate, that'll save the hip pocket

    waders ????

Here's some good reading for you champ ;)http://www.strikehook.com/forum/35-bait-a-tackle/159506-chest-waders
  23. Nice one Phil, I usually just use cardboard and I bought some cheap rig wallets off eBay for $3. They're basically just a wallet of snap lock bags (like your 'Glad Bags") but in wallet form. The main reason I prefer the cardboard over the foam is that I can fit more rigs into my wallet with the cardboard.
  24. Congrats Brett, that's great work mate!Best of luck with it, will keep and eye out for updates!
