JMIG got a reaction from lure crazy in Freaky Boat Ramp
Hi guys, hope everyone doing well On our way home last week from a driving holiday/runaway wedding through NSW and VIC, we came across this boat ramp. The bay of Martyrs in VIC.The sign at the top is quite interesting: Swimming not advised, strong currents, submerged rocks, something to do with cliffs, and NO lifesaving service. There isnt much room to swing a 4wd around at the top without a trailer on, so you would have to reverse over a speed-bump and around a 90degree corner, then down the boat ramp. Which is a pretty steep one! The sign at the bottom made me laugh, "vehicles not to be left on beach" What friggin beach!?!In my opinion, if I caught my hubby attempting to use this one he wouldnt be my hubby for very long ! Just asking...Does anyone know someone who has used this boatramp??I wonder how many calls Allianz have had about this spot?

It's just Jenny Moxham! Read any animal based story in the newspapers, and you will find letters to the editor from her on the subject, condemning anyone who isn't a vegetarian, vegan or animal liberationist!Do not send her an email, as you will find it impossible to talk sense or reason with her. She is blinded by her own views and will not entertain or listen to any voice which disagrees with her. She's an animal rights activist who constantly writes letters to newspapers, promotes being vegetarian and claims to be a poet with her animal rights poems.I dont let things like that get under my skin. She has her views, which she airs constantly, but I also have my own views........and I have my legal rights! I play by the law, I promote the positive side of what we are doing, and I treat my captures as humanely as I can! I have no qualms about my sport, I do not apologise for my sport, and I have no reason to feel guilt or shame! The law is on my side, we are permitted to catch fish with hook and line, fish are exempt from the prevention of cruelty to animals act, we follow regulations set by the government when persuing our sport. There are reasons for ALL of this, and Jenny Moxham also fails to acknowledge ANY of this, while trying to anthropomorphise (ascribe human emotions and feelings onto) dumb animals!Should we all follow fisheries legislation, respect the environment and treat our captures humanely, all Jenny Moxham and her little friends can do is continue to rant, rave and push their own views, while the law supports us and our right to fish, while protecting us from harassment, threats, violence or interference from the likes of Jenny Moxham and her little friends!I am not cruel, I do not torture! I am a fisher, a hunter and a meat eater though! I take pride in my efforts to treat my captures humanely, I respect my quarry, I follow the law, I do no wrong, I will not bow to her accusations!Let Jenny go eat her lentils, write her letters and dream up her poems! In the meantime I'm gonna catch some seafood, cook a steak, shoot a bunny rabbit, crack a few eggs, pour some milk and tuck in to a cheese platter, coz just like Jenny, I'm entitled to MY lifestyle choices too!

Hybrid sharks swarm east coast * by: John Ross * From: The Australian * January 03, 2012 12:00AMhttp://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/health-science/hybrid-sharks-swarm-east-coast/story-e6frg8y6-1226235110122AUSTRALIAN scientists say the discovery of interbred sharks off the east coast, the first hybrid sharks found, could signal the presence of "tropical" sharks in waters as far south as Sydney. But it's the scale of the discovery that has astonished them. Multiple generations of the new creature have been identified in five locations between northern NSW and far north Queensland.whats next.. sharks with fricken lazers on their heads???

in relation to the "if other gear being used" issue. again that is per person.my understanding is that each person can use 3 nets and 2 rods.

headed out whyalla waters yesterday... by passed the normal haunt where bagging out is almost regular, because we heard of some bigger whiting being caught, so went for a look.didnt get as many , but 14 isnt too bad i guess...for the first time EVER.. i beat my bro on the whiting.. but he certainly kicked my butt in the size of fish.. , so whats a guy to do? OF COURSE... steal the fish for a photo, who wouldnt..final tally was 8 - 6 my way, but he got 3 over 40cm.not one fish under 39cm.. with the biggest going 47cm... he caught it on handline, and thought he was playing a dogshark..

Hi there, thanks to everyone who has got in touch with me via strike and hook and over emails about my 'plea for help'OMG...I cant believe the amount of help from this website. I had been looking for so long to get the spoilt one a boat, so much has happened in the last two weeks than in the last 8months!! He found out about my plans... .there was a fight, but I got through to him.... I showed him what I had been doing and what I was after and showed him this helpful website. I told him if he didnt accept the bloody thing I would put his phone number on here so that you guys could tell him how much of a lucky spoilt idiot he is. :woohoo: He was a bit threatened I think, told him there was at least one guy on here that was interested.......and that he needed a new motorbike.... I narrowed the search down to two he had to pick from. I didnt do too bad at all, he picked the one he really really liked. But I dont think he quite believed me that I would buy one. Christmas has definetly come early for this lucky bugger! Two days later it is hooked up to my car and I brought it all the way home. 850km round trip, towed beautifully. I dont think it has got through to him yet, he wont be home until tomorrow night.Already got the signwriter organised to make me a name for the boat...........too spoilt...or spoilt as....it is hard naming a boat. It just needs to have the word 'spoilt' in there somewhere. All he needs is to buy a bucket, rope, water containers and a portable gps, fuel and bait.....he can buy those things him :c self!! Thanks heaps strike and hook! and everyone that helped Jmig this is the new addition to the family, have to take a more recent photo of it. the canopy has been replaced with a new burgandy coloured one
