It really pulls you in and I find myself going straight for the middle pages to see who's got their

  13. Rick, hopefully they are encouraging posters not just readers. Be it they feel more confortable or just have a sections for mates to talk openly without the rules, they have all sorts of applications. As you probably know, most have to be accepted into a group so hopefully your not going to just get the lurkers in there. I've got one in the woodworks at the moment, just trying to iron out a few things but it's hopefully going to be a place for interested parties to source specific ionformation that others may not want public. Many application for them... only limited by ones mind. It has the po

Nice work there Mickj, looks like your really getting rewarded for all your hard work and tying. Even the snaps come from your normal haunts ?
  16. haha.. good stuff carps. Had a close encounter a few weeks back with one around 12ft. Great sight. He cruised through and then came back and forth till his fin was out of the water and then just slowly took off.On your anchor.. what type are you running ? had the same problem in 90ft of water the other week in rough weather and think I have it sussed but specific to the type of anchor. On a side note, plenty of crabs out front of AAMI stadium today

  18. Awesome work there Tyke, wish I had a snapper mentor !.... busy ??
  19. Sounds like a top place, just don't forget the camera !

  21. Top effort Mickyj, top way to spend your bday.Great to see you got a few, Happy Birthday
  22. One thing I forgot to add...Line capacity.... That was one of the most important things for me with the new reel. A lot of the 1000 sries will have bugger all, and even some of the 2000. Again... do your homework
  23. $130..hhmmm, if you could take it out to $200 you could get some real quality !I went through the same thing a while back and ended up spending the extra bucks for a caldia kix 2004. Awesome reel and it's slayed some great fish. I'm in the same boat ( rod for xmas reel for bday in a couple of weeks ) and went for the 2500 sol as I wanted an all rounder. I had a few things in mind though.I wanted it to be able to thorw small plastics around for redfin, bream and the like but I also wanted it to be able to handle some decent snapper. With 7kg worth of drag, I knew this was never going to be a pr

  25. Mars I have been using Sunline Super PE far approx 9-12 months now and can't recommend it highly enough.I could count the wind knots I have had on two hands and it just slips out with minimal effort everytime, never had to cut it and it's never snapped on me. Some of them you think you have no chance but it amazes me everytime by slipping out.The advantage of this stuff for me when I did my research on it was it comes on a 300m spool for $70. I saw that as basically 2 spools for $35 when I was spending around $50-$60 per spool of 125 - 150yards before finding it.I still have over a half a spoo
