never seen squid caught at semi..not saying you cant but never seen or heard. You'd be better of going to brighton imo. my favourite jigs are Shimano Sephi's in pink or green, and yo-zuri auri q glows in pink/purple and orange. Both will work in all conditions.

back in the day at Wallaroo the japanese guys coming off the ships would offer to buy them if we had caught any, of course we never sold them  not poisonous to touch, they're edible if prepared a certain way that remove the toxins but only the japanese are crazy enough to eat them

Hey mate can you be more specific, there are heaps of jetties in sa lol..Wallaroo jetty is best for crabs.. lots of crabs at ardrossan too but have found them to be smaller and not so much meat.. Also get snapper at the gates further up.. squid, KGW, gar, snook and, YFW in the shallows are common catches.. When the squid are around yin numbers you might see some kingies around

awesome creatures! makes me sick to my stomach they want to cull them! they've been here way way before us and if you paddle out on a surfboard in THEIR territory its your own bloody fault if they take a chunk out of you! from their point of view you look like a seal.. yet another half arsed decision by the australian government

I couldn't believe what I was reading when I saw this! yet another stupid decision by the government..and no public consultation, If I lived in Glenelg I'd seriously consider moving because of this. What gets me though, is looking at that photo its pretty obvious there was more than enough room to run the pipes under the jetty! :blink:I feel ashamed to admit it but I think Adelaide Living Beaches is one of my department's projects..Im going to do some digging round on Monday

lol love it! :clap:I understand its to pump sand to other nearby beaches so they dont have to manually move it with trucks etc.. Im not 100% sure though.. I cant see the benefit to be honest and in the long run will probably do more harm than good..
