Well spring is almost here.... What are we hoping to achieve/target this season???im hoping to get my 1st lure caught bream/mully....Will be heeading to my usual Mully spot early this year plus a few NEW river systems to give em a crack...Cant forget the trout and Redfin eitha.... Maybe even some callop cod from the murray so there ya go my targets for spring.... What about the rest of the strike hookers out there :)Brayden

i have several tackle boxes.... but have one back pack for when i go out.. i just put the items i will need in the back pack and way i go....

search button is your friend but if i must halco, gillies, spanyid raiders, storm thunders, big blades, as stated anything shiny... and the weight is in accordance to tide rod reel condititons etc...

my method is quite simple.... place the thumb on your line against the rod... flip the bail arm over... cast out... once the bait/lure hits the water and wholla flick the bail arm back over and proceed fishing hahah there has to be one smart arse thats says it... mmight as well b me lol

i have never found that i need to "crank" my line in fast to catch sambos... mine have all been at a medium wind and have caught salmon all over sa with this method.. and i only use my saros 3000 on my angler 9ft stealth 4kg rod.. and only need to use 40g lures and get out further then anyone else around me.... Mully Madness uses 2-4kg boss rod with a 3000 penn applause and only using 40g lures using the same method and we have been the southern sambo assulters for the last two weeks... Infact all the bangers use between 7-9 foot light rods.. with 3000 size reels and people around us are using surf rods and still cant get the distance out

a very underated rod i think is the rovex Air strike... i have the 3-6 but they do a 5-10kg ultra light, throw baits, lures its a great rod and for the price $50 its great value have caught stompa bream, decent trout, sambos with it i reckon be easy handle mullies and snapps just a though...also i have this matched with a shimano symetre 1500 and use it for cod/callop in the safwaa dams

id go for a light 6'6 5-10kg stick matched with a 3000-4000 reel for flicking lures with 20lb braid.. shimano saros 3000 and what ever rod really in that size range.. ive only ever thrown baits for mullies from the yak so i use 7ft silstar powertip with 3000 shimano baitrunner loaded with 20lb mono

i got the 1500 i like it its not bad its been thrashed in both ad salt.. only thing is the 1500 size is the equivilent size of some of the bigger reels that i have that are like 2000-2500 sizes s its a bit bigger body than usual but... yeh.. good budget reel..

Think the reason you cant get advice is because you are clearly a losser and know one wants to turn up to fish there spots to find they have to put up with fishing with someone like you. Get a life I have found everyone on the strike hook to be very helpful.

dnt get me wrong im a dry dock/ boags premum fella myself but if i had to out of the 3 im a xxxx fella but i almost drink anything... except coopers clear that stuff gives me headaches!!!

its approx 3.75km SSW of my house when its on spesh :D or theres another spot 2km west, one 4.5km SSE, one 10km SSW if im being a tight arse and needa travel a bit further :D :D hahahahha

id prefer xxxx over VB and Draught put together anyday of the week
