  1. omg!!! there are some mega fish there and that kingy looks amazing, some great colour in that fish!!! and u got sharked hardcore in photo three!!!!
  2. yeah im pretty sure your allowed to burley aslong as you only use fish products? Not 100% sure tho, correct me if im wrong!
  3. yeah mainly fish westlakes and sometimes the port. On my raider im usually chucking 100mm or 80mm fish with a 2 or 3 gram jig head and sometimes lighter beacause you dont want your plastic to just sink like a lead wait to the bottom, just slowly flutter down and stay in the strike zone, but on the dread back ill chuck any size lures, right up to the largest size of x-raps they make, not sure how much they weigh! It allows u to chuck those heavier lures and jigs when fishing deaper water in the port and out in the boat to!
  4. yeah if fish the onk i would just youse ya stradic and raider, but fishing the lake or port you will probs be chucking bigger lures chaing the metre fish so i would use the heavier outfit! The Daiwa dread back only cost $150, but go have a play around with some 4-6kg rods and see what u feel comfortable with!
  5. Just a quick question? where will u be fishing for your mullies most of the time? Onk, westlakes?
  6. ive got two mully rods, a 2-4kg raider with a 2500 sol spooled with 150m of 10lb suffix and got to crisen it last night on a 81cm mully and that was pushing my gear, if i hooked one around the 1m range i would have been in a bit of trouble me thinks, which is why i have a 4-6kg daiwa Dred-back and a symetre 4000 spooled with 15lb braid.I had the same problem as you with my last mully outfit which was 5-8kg starlo stix, it was too stiff and when i hooked a mully on it bearly loaded up so i went to the dread back which still had some grunt at the base but an extremly light tip. I would keep wha
  7. lmao!! :icon_lol: :icon_lol:
  8. ohhh thats nasty! lol why did that happen?
  9. Thats an awsome gummy there snapperboy, even better you got it from the surf!! This is one fish i really want to crack soon!
  10. how ya going kayak fisher, ya nailed a legal yet, if ya need some help send me a pm and i can give ya some tips if you want? Anyways heres one to keep you inspired, caught this one and i wasn't even targeting bream, chasing mullies! lol they can be real greedy at times, this one took a 70mm squidy fish, i think he went around 35cm. http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/SAJcY8I6__DSC02886.JPG[/img]
  11. Got this one a couple of months ago, my first legal metro snap, went 55cm! Not massive but glad i caught a legal metro snap, i recon its heaps more rewarding catching them local! http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/sJbXvll1__DSCF2628.JPG[/img]
  12. how hard is it to row in a straight line???? Why do they need a permenant racing track, whats wrong with the temporary one they put up when they have race's?I think someone should tell those rowers coaches it is illegal to ride your bike on a footpath if your over twelve years old! ive never seen a twelve year old with a beard before!
  13. hay saltiga have you seen the Daiwa red back series of rods, thats what i use and i love it, loads up awsome, its got a light tip but heaps of grunt in the base to stick it to mullys and snaps! I got the 8-14lb rod with a 4000 shimano symetre (which is about a 3000 size in the daiwa range) which is an awsome reel, crazy gear ratio and its got some serious drag. Its caught me some nices snaps up to around the 8kg mark and i caught my 50lber on it. I recon the red backs are just as good as the daiwa team advantage rods, plus there a bit cheaper. I recon sol 3000 would be an awsome reel with a
  14. Just found out it might be a bit worse then what we first thought! Brooksey went for a check yesterday and they realised it puntured and artery and was pretty close to a nerve is his leg, cos he can't lift his toes up at the moment but can bend the down. Hes having an operation today to fix it all up, so hopefully it all goes well! And how did your mate get stung in the ass brenton? was he trying to sit on it! lol
  15. Caught this guy at ardrossan jetty on a yozuri squid jag after he decided to try and eat brookseys live squid, which was intended for a mully??? Never heard of a squid eating a squid before! Was a great day for squidding, we ended up with about 25 squid for the day! Brooksey decided to use one for ray bait where he hooked an approximately 80kg smooth ray and decided he would like to see how if feels to get stung by it!!! We had to rush him to hospital, but don't worry he's alright now but he will have a sore leg for a couple of days!! http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/5FF
  16. here's my biggest and only catty! probs around the 50cm mark to? http://www.fishyorkepeninsula.com/images/attachments/3H3Ii0qR__Eel_tailed_catfish_4.JPG[/img]

  18. ahhh put it back!!!! lol
  19. its a big rip off! lol its a green light that shines in the water and attracts baitfish, which is then ment to attract bigger fish! I saw one on tv one time!!
  20. yeah i dont rate spiderwire, its real thick compared to other braids for its lb rating, fades pretty quick and feels real wirey but saying this its pretty strong... I just don't like it tho, much better braids out there for the same money... lol sorry yorke angler
  21. thats an amazing shot yobbo! crystal clear water and what a ripper of a fish, was it a metro shark or somewhere else?
