  2. concidering 1 pro has been netting over 100 fish every week down south lately i think they are doing more damage than the recos...,
  3. you are allowed to use cast nets in qld dunno about nsw ide say prob as i think were like the only state that cant use them unfortunately!
  4. any reason you didn't go Fuji Silicon guides? not picking just wondering mate id assume because you can be a bit rougher with the Alconites?
  5. as with most reels i usually upgrade the drag washers to carbontex, sportsfishing scene carry some if not they can most likely get what you need in.makes a big difference upgrading them its definitely worth the cash!
  6. awesome fish guys seems there are a few around atm!
  7. that is a disgrace i certainly wouldn't be paying any fees to the club with the ramp in that condition, i agree with rick, they shouldn't need to be asked to clean it up they should just do it...if i used the same ramp every time i would consider a private ramp for safety of the car and trailer etc but seeing this has made me realize its prob better just to deal with the risks and kayos in the public ramps!
  8. thanks mate i tried a sabiki rig again the other day didnt get 1 only a tiny pinkie on it lol ill try it again next time i go out.
  9. i gotta say i agree with some of rangers points, i also agree with yellowfins points! somewhere in the middle would be great.i really think something does need to change in both areas of fishing the commercial and rec both need more people checking things and defiantly tougher regulations on the commercial catches as they are a joke atm!with some of the last comments about parents having there hands tied, im a younger guy at 26. i am fortunate i grew up with rules from my parents so i do understand consequences for doing the wrong thing and have values and beliefs but the younger generation ar

  12. its bad enough having 3 on the boat let alone 10 lol
  13. does anyone use lures or sabiki rigs to catch slimys? i want to find a quicker way to catch the bait for the day than using a single hook with a bit of flesh on it catching them 1 by 1... so i can focus on fishing for the fish i want lol
  14. it is rediculous about the rule..gotta agree that that amount of crab nets sure attracts sharks more than a dead snook or squid etc hanging under a balloon...i think i know who u mean at brighton he has also been done by fisheries for taking undersized fish and crabs but he just goes back and does the same thing the next day...
  15. some great fish there guys but i have to agree with Landbased_Angler also to add you want to get the tag to lock behind 1 of the spines so go from the back of the fish towards the head and in at an angle so it locks in and cant be pulled out by the fish rubbing on rocks/sand etc.. there are plenty of videos on the net of how to get them to lock in.
  16. stunning photos as usual!!! keep them coming when you take them mate we appreciate your skills!
  17. i have never been out in the middle.eazyeasty saying your nervous is a good thing so you dont just decide to head out 1 night and get caught out.. i would be nervous untill i had a few trips under my belt and made damn sure i knew how the boat handled in rough weather before doing it tho!ale and rotare glad to hear you guys made it back onto dry land eventually but safe is the main thing!just my opinions
