  3. sounds like the pros are hitting it hard in the north again saw them last weekend aswell out there .have the same thinkings going out at dark coming back dark hopefully dont hit there lines. has anyone else noticed the last few weeks a pro crabber putting huge amounts of crab pots out starting at about 2km past the blackpole all the way thru to outer harbour in lines?? i have as i hit one on the way back in and wrapped it around the prop :c :c :c :c wasnt a happy camper at all thats one less pot he wont get back
  4. peta are the biggest contradicting morons out there for a bunch of we love all animals equally why the hell do they support bsl then??? for those that dont know what bsl its breed specific legislation where anyone that owns a certain breed of dog it must be put down eg pitbulls now as far as im concerned that concept is a hell of alot crueller than a person catching a fish so to peta supporters a say a big pffffffft :c :c :c

was an awesome sight to watch the fly rod in action down there and well done on doing something different to the norm and having sucsess at it aswell
  8. so it seems that carp do enjoy the ol pull the rod in the water trick. took a mate to our spot to catch some carp told him they are big and make sure drag is set really light! puts rod down lights up a durry and what do u see next one berkley dropshot leaping into water with 1 distressed owner after it lucky find a few moments later and got the fish in afterso guess that moral of the story always watch ya rod is true
  9. i also cut the rubber ring of the balloon after tying it up that helps it come away from the trace alot easier. i like the tie it on with light line idea aswell will give that a shot next time
  10. i must be another that has some good luck on the cheaper stuff aswell from this site i have a pelagic small overhead reel and have been smashed by some dig stingrays and snapper and it hasnt missed a beat mind u i put it on a decent shimano rod. also have a melaluka baitrunner 7000 same deal that has copped a hammering from sharks and snapper time and time again and has stood up to the punishment well. i also have some expensive stuff aswell but sometimes the cheaper stuff is just as much fun and can do the job whilst ya save up for the more expensive stuff. in these times of hardship and less

  16. have found the same problem out from st kilda maybe not quite as bad a situation but foound a boat high and dry on the section bank at low tide (his first time in the area) and could see he was struggling to get the boat back in the water as we came in noticed about 5 or more boats just continue on by so we stopped and asked if he was ok he mentioned he tried to stop some ppl for a hand none stopped so eventually helped dragged the boat back to the water so he could return back to ramp the guy was so thankful and offered us money wich we refused as if i was in that same prediciment would hope
  17. great video jack well done on the catches aswell
