Yeah there are Rod a reel combos , Fishing SA magazine subscription ,Raffle prizes and all sorts . Have a suss at the face book page for the last comp write up for an idea on what the prizes are . Will be collecting and purchasing the prizes this week for this particular one so not positive on the specifics of what combos and stuff .

I have heard similar thoughts on the matter. Lots of secret stocking going on and tight lipped individuals. I'm sure there is some element of truth to it all. Hell, if I had a nice little rocky creek with some riffles and pools running through my land I would stock it up and keep it secret, keep it safe. A bit of research on SAFFA and word of mouth talk has given me a pretty good idea of the club. So far I have got on to some nice trout but there have been more days than not of creek/stream scoping and door knocking. Only so many hours in a day before you have to pack it. Has been fun though. I'm pretty keen to check out the Broughton in a few weeks time. Atleast there I know I can fish in peace without worrying about access and the lot.

Ohhh mother nature you are a kidder sometimes , just when i was thinking i would have to concrete the gazebo down for registrations you turn it on and produce an unimaginable night with perfect conditions . I haven't seen such a still night in a long time .
With the storm warning and rain the day before i was wondering if anyone was going to turn up but those that did had an absolute cracker of a night , catching plenty of Mulloway between all those that entered . From the non photo worthy catches up to the winning catch there was plenty of action for the anglers . With the turn out and interest we will definitely be doing another round in the future and will likely be in the beginning of Dec at the end of the year so keep your eyes peeled for details .

Raffle winner = winning the Fleurieu Fishing Club , Shimano rod and reel combo went to Jason Bentley who was one of just a couple who only caught a donut .
Mystery Length winner = 24cm Mullet picking up a Fishing Wholesalers , landing net tackle box and some goodies went to Brad Monssen with his Mullet caught for bait .
3rd Place = 65.5cm Mulloway was Jamie Heitman who took home the Fishing Guru , filleting knife and glove .
2nd Place = 69cm Mulloway was Joshua Davey who got the Fishing SA Magazine years subscription .
And 1st Place = 85cm Mulloway was Mick Windibank who won the major prize a Reel Scream Fishing , Penn rod , reel , hat and stubbie holder , and what an awesome catch fella , a massive well done .

Once you have registered around 2pm at the tent on Dotterel drv reserve then anywhere on the lake is optional and as long as you are back at the tent by 9pm for presentation .

I actually have a few phone numbers up my sleeve to get access to a few properties and one of these have told me in person that the area was recently ish stocked by SAFFA . So there are areas out there still being stocked but to find out exactly where you would have to join and i have heard that even then it would take you a few years in the club to find out . Not sure if it is true but apparently there are also groups within SAFFA that stock seperatly , but if you know a few people within the club then you have probably got more insight than most and i would like to be clarified ? Good luck with your hunting anyway fella , hope you get onto a few .
