I buy Pt Lincoln pillies cause they're local, don't really like them brined ones,. was talking to a guy who buys pillies from the fish factory, salts them & bags them up 6 to a lunch bag.

Yeah thnx af, my m8s spelling-wording is pretty err "bad" but yeah he may have accidently missed a 0 as for pt neil :whistle: oh well, he is pretty genuine though, he use to take us out to lincoln national park where we'd camp out for a few nights & fish mac laren point or memory cove (key access) straight off big granite bolders, or gud fishing spots for snapper morwong nanygai & BIG squid, one day ill be back there, aboriginal fella told me theres a big fish with my name on it :laugh: :laugh: :whistle:

M8 over pt lincoln has heard of mullys being caught at the dog fence not far from pt nille, 60k's out of pt lincoln.. ?ask the locals, pretty friendly town

You can sometimes boil the guts out of em which is why i find steaming can save flesh as well as them tasting sweeter

We used to boil ours but found steaming is the way to go but each to their own..

Caught a few decent sized ones off Largs jetty last night, took a bit more work on the low tide though.

Down to henley jetty this morning, been meaning to try shittys on the crabs for a while, no problems getting a feed within 2hrs for 9 blueys, couldn't fit anymore in the bucket so called it quits

hi guys i was out in the boat on sun morning fished about 30k out and the swell picked up so decided to try a spot about 10k from the stkilda ramp,after fishing for about 2 hours we seen a boats signal a flare there was probably 20 boats all within 1 kilometer of eachother!!! it probably took us a min or so to notice and started talking about it and made up our minds in a flash to head over,when we got to the boat the guy said he has lost all his electrics and asked to use our radio which was no probs we let the coast guard know and they said they would be on the way.... so we waited the whole time with the bloke which was no problem at all we would help any1 and expect the same.what im trying to say is from what we seen not 1 person even looked like moving to go and have a look at this person in distress i know one or 2 of u reading this was probably out that way and seen it pls in futre people show a little bit more care for others and think twice if thwe shoe was on the other foot!!! if sum1 is in trouble just go that little bit out of your way to make sure people are safe on the water later guys

It seemed crazy to waste so much snapper meat so smoked the wings up... made fish cakes out of them
