Your lucky you didn't cop a fine mate, Motors including electric motors are not allowed in west lakes. I had an interesting discussion with a member of the charles sturt council. He said he didn'e see anything wrong with it but if you were questioned and fined not to mention him or the conversation.

Measure your finger nail in the pic, then see how many times it goes the length of the snapper than measure the actual width of your nail and times it by how many times it fits in the photo, gives you a rough idea on its length

Totally agree Nanman, Try and order bait from overseas Next time your in a tackle store ask the guys whats the best price they can do? If they do not have a reel size in that you want but have others in the range your looking at ask them if they can get it in and again what price.Local guys will want the sale, will do everything to keep you happy so you come back.What $20 lures can you get for $5 in the US Plankton?

Corn flour, salt/pepper, shake in a bag then shake off access flour of the squid, on the bbq with very hot oil, about 30 sec each side. Should be a golden colour but doesn't have to be.
